What is the parking like on game days? Where are the best places to park?

A mess.

Downtown if you don't have an on-campus pass. Check usgameday.com to see if any spots still available on campus.

As a visitor a few times I agree with downtown parking. There is a parking garage and also parking on the street and some lots. The walk to the stadium from this area is not bad at all and takes you by the restaurants and bars.

Don’t park on the sidewalk . Not only are you likely to get a ticket but you might injure or kill dozens of Alabama fans.

Downtown has a free deck and free street parking, as well as paid lots. There is a shuttle that costs $1. Maybe a mile or a little more to walk. This is the option I would use if you're heading for Louisiana after the game. You can jump straight onto I-359.

There are a couple of lots around 23rd and 4th near the Embassy Suites that are straight down University through the strip.

The mall is free, and offers a $10 round trip shuttle.

Haven't tried campus parking this year, but last year, I believe it was $20, and the free campus busses run a constant loop that drops off on the north side of the quad. It's really convenient, but very congested after the game.

There's yard parking everywhere, within a few blocks of the stadium, but it's usually expensive.

ETA - Central High School and the Boy Scout lot across 15th from it (as well as the other parking in that area) are very convenient, and are short walks to the stadium, too.

WHATEVER YOU DO, DON'T PARK ILLEGALLY. They run out every tow company in the city on Saturdays to keep the roads clear. If you've got even a bumper in a fire lane, in front of a driveway, or past a no parking sign (even if you're off the road and on the grass past the sign), you will get towed.

I feel like this joke might be lost on some posters.

I park close to there, between 3rd and 4th streets between University and Queen City Park. Parking on the street is good, but I suggest the following:

1. arrive no later than 3 hours before kickoff...and for this game I would say 4 hours.
2. do not under any circumstances park on a yellow curb.

You can usually find free roadside parking to the east of Queen City or 19th Ave if you get there early enough, and it's not too bad of a walk to the stadium (also close to some bars).

I'll let you park at my place for $50

Unless you are with people who don’t want to walk a little, park near university and Queen City intersection. Free street parking or $20 once that’s gone. Easy access to the Strip and Quad. Easy egress out of town.

I never park where a shuttle is needed. Will someone’s yard park just south of the stadium ($30).

Safe travels.
