It was a ticky-tack flag given that coaches are all over the fricking field during plays and he didn’t affect anything whatsoever. Give them a sideline warning and don’t ruin a kid’s night, and worse if they lose. He was in the crowd on the sideline.

If contact is made with the ref it’s 100% a penalty. You don’t get the warning courtesy

Not really. He made contact with the ref or vice versa. Those get called on the first offense.
