The quotes are clear enough for people to perceive them as a shot. Your one way perception shield is what’s stupid. People can feel how they like about Ole Miss and Mississippi, and they do. People (not just me) have perceived that Lane was taking an unnecessary shot at his former employer. Fact is, he could’ve stopped and said LSU is easier to recruit to. Thats it. Why didn’t he?

Baton Rouge is more black, let’s just call this what it is. That ain’t more diverse, it’s just blacker

I have no idea what you're even talking about. I graduated from LSU, and left Louisiana years ago. It's embarrassing to watch local sports and see our coach saying things that shouldn't be out there.

If I'm a parent of a kid who has multiple offers in the SEC, I'm using Ole Miss to drive up the price. Then I'll bring up racism as the reason he won't play in Oxford.
And then I'm sending the kid to Alabama, where they've never had problems with racism.
If I'm the parent of a baby who is considering offers in the SEC, I'm questioning why the University of Texas is still using an anthem based on minstrel songs and Confederate imagery.
I'm also questioning why blacks were barred from undergraduate programs until 1956 and even then weren't allowed in fraternities, any sport's teams, or allowed to eat with the whites.
Shamefully, the yahoo cucks at Texas still didn't allow blacks in dormitories and other facilities until 1965.
Pitiful.

And as an OU supporter, winning championships should be Venables directive and he should feel the pressure the same as Kiffen, IMHO.
LSU is paying $13M ($91M over the current term),
OU Is paying $7.5M ($38M over the current term).

How retarded do you have to be to think a coach would brag about past racism during recruiting. I don't know which of you is dumber.

He is telling the story of how Lane went out of his way to say how diverse and safe it was at OM for the parents Black son. Thats the point. And it clashes with Vanity Fair article.
It doesn’t clash with the Vanity Fair article, at all.
Kiffin was emphasizing those aspects of Ole Miss / Oxford to overcome the perception that Ole Miss / Oxford is a racist place, which was his whole point.

Kiffin was a dummy for even entertaining bringing race into it. Kiffin fans can spin this anyway they want but he did it to hurt OM for recruiting and help himself at same time. He’s a snake.
Kiffin lost in the PR scheme of things. He made a choice.
