I know his record, recruiting, relationships have been discussed here.

Two other areas of major concern as well:

How has he done with the transfer portal? Was he able to take advantage of the most recent transfer portal to go out and grab players that could be an immediate impact on this team? Nope

How has he and his staff been on making in-game / halftime adjustments? Pretty non existent in that department as well

I really can't point to anything that Harsin is doing well at this point. He did beat Ole Miss last year, but since then everything (and I mean everything) is trending downwards...

He’s 3&1. If he continues that pace and finishes 9&3 or even 8&4 in his 2nd season, firing him might be the biggest mistake among many bad mistakes Auburn has made

Technically Nick Saban is a yankee and some LSU fans say he treats everybody like crap.

The availability of good recruiting information has changed the situation for coaches. 30 years ago there was some information available to the public, but there wasn't a ton and it wasn't great. You just had to give a new coach a chance that what he was doing in recruiting was going to work and show results on the field. These days there's good information available to all of us (including Auburn's boosters) that Harsin is not having the success in recruiting that would be required for Auburn to win at the level that they expect to win at.

At the barn you have two be one of two things to be their head coach for any length of time.

1 - Be good enough to tell the boosters to sit down, shut up and write the checks

2 - Kiss booster arse till you need chapstick.

Harsin is 0-2 there

Harsin is 0-2 there, but those two things apply to every school and #2 only postpones the inevitable firing for a little while.

bullshite. He tried to give them hats once, and they weren’t appreciative of them at all. Pretty nice hats too.

Harsin is no arse kisser.
He's NOT going to:
- Kiss some 5* HS recruits asses to get them to AU
- Kiss the big time HS coaches asses to get their players
- Kiss the media's asses
- Kiss the old fart Auburn writers (P. Marshall's) asses
- Kiss the AU (BOT/Boosters) asses

I heard about a month ago that he has yet to shake Jimmy Rane's hand (imagine THAT!)

Man, they got waxed by Penn State and should’ve lost twice to Missouri. You’d have to hope they would have been competitive against PSU and close the game against Mizz. Record looks a lot better than the state of the program at this point.

We really could’ve lost to San Jose State too

That’s my issue, and Auburn isn’t even my team. You can point to the record all day long, but where’s the pride? Barely beat SJS, got skull dragged by PSU, and won a cripple fight against Mizz. Auburn is better than that as a program. People trying to give this entire athletic department a pass for this is absurd. Has Harsin had enough time to build? Probably not. But the better question to ask at this point is: should he have ever been there to begin with? Auburn is too big of a job to keep getting these up and comers. They need to hunt a real, proven coach and let him do his job.

You'd think that's exactly what they'd do. Yet Dye from Wyoming, Bowden from Samford, Tubs was from OM, 5-19 Chizik from ISU, Malzhan from ArkySt.

On paper, Harsin was the most proven and solid hire they've ever made and he's crashing down while all of the other less-proven HC's excelled at some point in their tenure.

Precisely my point. Particularly, the stretch from Chizik-Harsin is particularly concerning. They hire like this is a second rate program when it isn’t. Hate to toot LSU’s horn in an AU thread, but SW went and got a solid, proven coach. There’s no reason to believe Auburn can’t do the same. They just don’t, and it’s absurd.

Coaches have an unspoken bible about those things - you just follow the coaching bible in those three things PERIOD.
