I just dont think Bama is really capable of sustaining what we saw midseason. I think midseason was some exceptional plays by Ty masking what really is an under-talented(especially with Ryan Williams being a bust) offense.
The defense has been and will be the only way to advance in the playoff. Play field position, make teams have to drive, get turnovers and short fields. That is your path if you are Bama. Trying to "reach the potential" of the offense would be foolish IMO.

the issues at OL
Agreed, and the OL is probably at the core of most significant issues over the past few weeks.
We clearly still haven't turned the corner from Saban's oversized road graders to DeBoer's more athletic pin-and-pull variants.
But what baffles me is our inability to overcome this by still forcing 35-yard posts while Simpson has happy feet because he's ready to start running for his life. Earlier in the year he had about a half-second release and we seem to have abandoned that concept altogether (while Brailsford hops around on one leg).
I'm sure it has to do with the limitations of injuries and I love this staff, but it's interesting why we seemingly don't, or can't, adjust to help protection.

here is already electricity in the air. This is going to be a very hard game for Alabama to win.
Won in Athens at night, won in Auburn at night
These teams all have played in front of large loud crowds.
Mateer tried to give the game away last time and Bama defenders dropped 2 easy ints. That's the difference in the game. If Bama Defenders don't reject OUs turnovers, Bama will win.

Just wait. Bama will beat you and I can’t wait to hear the complaining. Deep down you know in your dusty fricking soul you were lucky to win that game. You know you’ll be lucky to win this one as well. I can’t wait for you bottom feeder scumbags of the west to eat crow. Starting to realize why the gays of Texas hates you so
much
This is the same guy 5 minutes after the game was crying about every fricking call OU had and blaming errors for Bamas loss . He said he felt better after rewatching the game about Bama …. Then they precede to get destroyed by UGA with the same blitzes OU used on Bama in the second half…..you can’t make this crap up if you wanted to lol
Your hopium won’t help your team lol….

Seems like the LSU game was temp in 30s and a 35 mph north wind….
Did the wind impact some of the turnovers in that game?
I was at the Iron Bowl, couldn't really follow it closely and only noticed the INTs.
Any sort of major wind issue that limits downfield passing to me is a massive advantage to OU because Bama absolutely cannot win this game on the ground.“
I don’t remember the wind causing any 5urnovers. It pushed some passes down like the one Mateer threw to Sategna for a TD
Will only be 17 mph which would affect kicking and long passes only
In the lsu game I think lsu had early field position then it switched….

People forget OU absolutely neutered bama in the second half, when Venables figured them out. UGA just took OUs game plan and mopped them for four quarters. I don’t think either team is without major issues but I think there’s a slight chance OUs offense has returned to early season form.

All 5 on Get Up picked OU this morning and the line is now OU -1.5/2
All the big money is coming in on OU now that people know Ceuves is a game time and Ty has a herniated disk.
OU 24-9

What I don’t understand is last game Bama came out passing on 16 of first 18 plays and had success. Then stopped that plan. Was it OU making them stop or coaches trying to force the run “to keep it balanced”?
This game will be completely different. I think OU still wins but how is another question I can’t answer.

OU is a vastly superior team and will dominate

It’s always better when we don’t stand a chance. It’s been the song and dance of this team, they have overachieved more times than not. Anyone who thinks this game is easy for either team is delusional. It will be a battle.

Lol, I wouldn't say OU is vastly superior. I think they are both good teams. It's hard to beat a team twice, I sure hope OU can pull it out tonight. Having R. Mason back should be a big help.
