Jam played very little. Hill took most of the snaps. Jam was still dinged up from a concussion.

Yeah, only problem is Alabama didn’t win. The only result that matters.

Team that makes the least amount of mistakes wins.
Bama had 3 turnovers last time, but now they get OU's D-line in Norman. Mateer is certainly capable of hurting his team too. Definitely the game of round 1 to watch.

Let me guess. That 3rdDown10 guy at it again with his usual bullshite of yards matter and not your turnovers? A fricking broken record

What's interesting to me about Alabama is, after OU brought the house and destroyed Ty Simpson, they put in pretty much nothing to negate the pash rush and Auburn was able to the same thing.
I thought Alabama's offense would roll in the Iron Bowl because surely they would put in a bunch of blitz beaters facing Durkin. And they didn't and the same thing happened.
Just odd for an SEC coaching staff to not adjust. Maybe this will be the game they figure it out.

No doubt. It’s the type of game we envisioned that made all of us in OK elated the day we learned about the move to the SEC. Doesn’t get much better.

Their defense is good but play undisciplined and are susceptible to the big play.
Yeah... but Ty Simpson is allergic to throwing those big plays which is why it's so easy for OU and other team's DCs to gameplan for us.

Game time tomorrow in Norman
50 degrees. 0% chance of rain. 17 mph south wind
Other than wind , ideal conditions
The wind chill makes the 50 degrees feel like 44 degrees …
Kicking south to north is an advantage……same for long passing….
Seems like the LSU game was temp in 30s and a 35 mph north wind….

Bama's DB's need to learn to catch they flat dropped one INT that could have been a pick six of their own early on and couldnt come up with another INT later.
But then again we didn't get away with PI to get one.

Like the previous game, the team who makes the fewest mistake will win.

I like watching the OU defense this year. In this game that will be true again. Sometimes I focus on the DL to see how they handle the OL and blocking backs . It is great entertainment .
I just don’t want the OU defense on the field too much .

The pick-six was a gift to UO by both Simpson and the officiating crew.
This game hinges on three things, all of which, I think, flow from #1:
1. Will Bama's o-line decide to play at game time.
2. Is Ty Simpson stuck in his head.
3. Will Bama move on from Jam Miller as the featured back?
Yes, no, yes & Bama wins.

Im working in Norman this morning and it's already nuts here. SEC nation and gameday are setting up. There is already electricity in the air. This is going to be a very hard game for Alabama to win.

Did the wind impact some of the turnovers in that game?
I was at the Iron Bowl, couldn't really follow it closely and only noticed the INTs.
Any sort of major wind issue that limits downfield passing to me is a massive advantage to OU because Bama absolutely cannot win this game on the ground.

You pretty much nailed most of the talking points.
It might not appear that way superficially, but these are two of the best defenses in the country.
The probability of a game similar to the one a few weeks ago is statistically remote, but Venables has been Alabama's kryptonite for years.
Alabama is a frustratingly Jekyll-and-Hyde team in 2025, and thus I honestly don't know what to expect in this one, but nothing in the realm of possibility will surprise me.
Given everything we know about the injury situations and how this team tends to perform, I'd say we're probably following the Saban model of a bleak first season, a second season where we unexpectedly challenge for a title but fall short (this one), and then move on to a more pleasant 2026.

I think Bama with a midseason Ty Simpson has a real shot at a NC this year, but everything had to thread the needle because of the issues at OL and lack of a run game. It was all elite midrange passing and a top 10 defense. The potential to explode always existed though because Ryan Williams was lurking without any production but unlimited potential if he finally clicked.
With the late season / injured version of Simpson running the offense Bama to me is OU without the special teams or ability to win the turnover battle anymore.
I think its going to be pretty obvious who is likely to win this game within the first 3-4 drives for both teams. If Bama looks like the version we saw in the SECCG I think OU finds a way to manufacture a win.
If Bama comes out and has figured out how to handle the Venables pressure looks and Simpson is accurate I think they find a way to win and dominate the stats if not the score absent another multiple turnover situation.

If your Oline is incapable of slowing down a blitz at all, the defense is can safely clamp down without a threat of a deep ball.
The health and play of the Oline has been far bigger an issue than the play of Ty Simpson
