quote:This is easier said that done, those mistakes were not made in a vacuum, they were CAUSED. Perhaps you didn't notice the OU LB in Simpsons face when he threw the pick 6? Or the strip that caused the fumble on Alabama's PR? Or the strip sack in the third quarter? Those are called TAKEAWAYS. Not one of those turnovers was a gimme. The key to beating Alabama is getting to Simpson. In fact Venables did a VERY good job in Tuscaloosa adjusting his game plan and blitzing MUCH more than normal due to RMT being out and Jayden Jackson being limited. If they get to him again on Friday and stop the run with any regularity they can very well win. Also, Mateer is not as good as people thought, but he is capable and has gotten better week to week.
If Alabama simply plays mistake free football, we'll easily win. Oklahoma just doesn't have the players or the coaching to keep up with us.

RW hasn’t been holding onto much fingernail polish or not.
Had he been what was anticipated coming into the season it would be a totally different offense.

I think this will be a close hard fought game, similar to the first one.
We have Cuevas back, he is good to go unlike what someone said earlier in the thread. Jam is back. OL is fully healthy. We were pretty banged up. LT being out sucks but next man up.
I’m excited to go to Norman and experience the stadium.
Good luck to everyone.

You may be right. But I expect a great game and someone has to lose and that will be painful.

Saw this stat posted by local radio The Ref:
Just another incredible stat by the OU defense:
Only 15 touchdowns have been scored on the Sooner defense this season, which is No. 1 in the SEC.
The next closest is Georgia and LSU with 24. NINE MORE than OU.
But it gets better….
15 TD’s allowed by the OU defense is the fewest by an SEC team in the last four seasons.

We are as elite on D as we used to be on O.
Those O teams might have been fun to watch but did not get job done. We are at the end of the beginning our defense as one of the best and that travels plus can keep you in most games.
Even games where QBs might have jitters, defense can play great as they don’t have throw the ball or catch it. Its hotting and covering which once you get the right players can work in all environments vs offense which has more moving parts.
It’s not to say we can’t lose, we have. For me I love dood defensive teams.

At least OU wins those rematches.. care to tell what 'Bama fared in their rematch with Georgia, in the SEC championship?
'Bama didn't require a rematch to even things up because they won the first game.

Just wait. Bama will beat you and I can’t wait to hear the complaining.
Deep down you know in your dusty fricking soul you were lucky to win that game. You know you’ll be lucky to win this one as well.
I can’t wait for you bottom feeder scumbags of the west to eat crow.
Starting to realize why the gays of Texas hates you so much
This is a perfect example of how tRant absolutely sucks now and has lost the attention of so many longtime users.
Dude starts a thread with facts and statistics, others bring serious football talk and statistics and even some spreadsheets.
But you still have that one retard with little dick syndrome that can't separate college football from his own life accomplishments and ego

If 'Bama had lost the first, they'd be out of the playoffs.
OU shitting their pants in the postseason is definitely real, though. That BCS and CFP record is embarrassing.

20% of those TDs were scored by Alabama.

Cuevas did, Jam didn’t play much it was mostly Hill.

Oklahoma has no offense. Mateer is a mediocre passer and will run when he can. Their defense is good but play undisciplined and are susceptible to the big play. I think it has to be low scoring for the Sooners to win.

They did. I don’t know why they’re acting like they missed the first game.
Oklahoma is bringing back more pieces for round 2 while alabama is losing LT Overton.

It’s weird not seeing 5-6 OL on the injury report.

Now add that it’s in Norman at night and OU has the advantage in basically every category included punter and kicker, I don’t see anyway Bama wins unless OU completely shits the bed
Fair points, well see I guess on Friday
