Why? So we can split the exact same amount an additional 2 ways? The tv deal will not go up in near the fashion it did when texas and Missouri were added to the footprint. Are we a charity? Do we all take pay cuts to help the Oklahoma schools?

We wouldn't be "Helping Oklahoma Schools", first, this wouldn't be plural, it would only be Oklahoma. Adding Oklahoma would bring in a top 10 most valuable football program, in addition to creating a natural geographic rivalry with Arkansas. Every School in the conference would gain by adding OU's value. Even with it being split an extra 2 ways.

If you think the SEC, which is a Football conference, wouldn't jump at the chance to take Oklahoma, you're kidding yourself.

OU is a huge program and would be a good get for any conference.

That said, the damned border is just too fricking close to where I live and I do not want to deal with those frickers. We are mostly friendly for the time being, but OU fans are an obnoxious, Toby Keithery brand of people.

Plus NC State would add another state capital

Undisputed #1 priority at the moment is to get all Southeastern state capitals. I'm hearing Millsaps and AU-Montgomery are next in line, should NC State drop out

I think it would be downright awesome to get Oklahoma. The only people against it are Texas A&M because they're afraid of losing their only recruiting edge to OU at this point

I'd trade them for LSU. They are better in football and have a more well rounded athletic program in the other sports.

The SEC would take UT and OU in a second. And I for one would love the rustled jimmies

Let's just add a team from every state including Alaska and some team from China for future growth. We put the games on Netflix and roll.

And then we'd be the Sunbelt, Conference USA and ACC all rolled in to one. Awesome plan.

Seriously, where did we get these people from?

Virginia Tech has more support than UVA. Whoever said otherwise has obviously spent zero time in Virginia.

And no, we don't need to take on anymore Big 12 castoffs. They dont fit in either culturally or geographically. South Carolina and Arkansas at least made sense and have worked out well. The two rookies are square pegs in round holes.

Why would the SEC want Oklahoma? What do they offer. Oklahoma is a shitty sports market . It does add some prestige but it also makes it much tougher for an SEC team to get a Playoff Spot.

It is widely understood, to this point, that Oklahoma and Oklahoma State would be a package deal.

IF and that's a HUGE IF

You could get OU without OSU our sec tv money would probably just decrease a little might even stay even. I could live with that. But OSU would be part of the package and you cannot show me a scenario the Oklahoma legislature allows them to split. Therefore the tv money for all sec teams would get smaller. That's reality. Those are facts.

Why not just swap y'all for Oklahoma?

Oklahoma gets in a better conference and aggie could be competitive in football.

We all win.

God games away in oklahoma or state would suck. I hope the sec doesn't take any big 12 schools, the vast majority would suck for away games.

I'll say this, Oklahoma's fans were miserable for the 2003 title game.

Holy shite were they bad.

I'd definitely travel to Norman before going to Columbia, Fayetteville or College Station.
