re: No B1G schools wrapped up in this?
Posted by PAGator on 9/27/17 at 9:04 pm
I want Chambers to build something here and maybe he is, as everyone keeps saying. But I'm one who's starting to doubt he building anything.
Under Dunn and DeChelis, there were at least some random years of success thrown into overall mediocrity, but Chambers continues to have only one season finishing above .500

There is no way in hell Penn State basketball is involved in this. If we are, Chambers has to be the single worst coach of all time
re: Well, who will get Petrino?

Petrino's a whiny little bitch, sure, but there are so many coaches with far worse problems to have. I don't understand all the hate, really.
As a Falcons fan, I'm thrilled he decided to leave

Basketball as a whole needs the death penalty.

CBB will probably need to start over after all this is finished
re: Since we're going to have to watch Luke Bryan butcher the anthem on Sunday...

I don't even like the idea of individuals singing the national anthem (I prefer band/orchestra) but there's simply no denying this is the greatest in history (at least before a football game).
She was incredible. It just came so easy for her
Edit: I do think Renee Fleming did a great job before the NYC Super Bowl. Such a pleasant change-up to have a real musician do it

There really isn't another option. 2-5 is a good debate though

re: Kapernick to free agency - who wants this political firestorm

Chip Kelly simply doesn't believe in the word "adjustments". He is as stubborn as they come, and his career failed on it

Unfortunately, I feel like the Steelers are going to try.

Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee lost the SEC for 2 consecutive years. Missouri didn't win it.

You hit on it, but it really doesn't matter anymore. They had signs prepared tonight saying _____ is racist, and they had to write in Gorsuch's name because they didn't even know who it was yet.
It's the same thing, every fricking time. They need new material, yet they still wonder why they are losing so many elections

The crazy thing about Bork was that it went beyond Senate committee. Kennedy had commercials running against him the day Bork was announced.
The Bork hearings were truly the beginning of what we grieve now as modern politics.

Penn State's original colors were Black and pink, but the jerseys faded over the summer from black and pink to navy blue and (almost) white. It didn't change after that, obviously

"a bit" is a bit of an overstatement
It's only every once in a while. And it had nothing to do with coming out of the closet
I honestly never post here anymore, just check in every once in a while. Basically, I've had OCD since high school and deleting posts was a stress-relieving convulsion, more than anything. Like a project I was working on. I ended up writing a paper on you little frickers a few years ago, but I don't have it anymore- I'd love to find it though.

The divide in this country is no longer North/South... it's East/West.
re: Auburn, fire Gus and go offer Chip Kelly $6m/year
Posted by PAGator on 1/3/17 at 8:22 am
First off, most of his great players came from Texas. Oregon at their pinnacle was able to recruit anywhere.
Second, you're thinking too rationally. Chip Kelly is not rational- we saw it in the NFL. He simply won't modify because he's one of those guys that "knows he's right".

re: Your final top 10 this season
Posted by PAGator on 1/3/17 at 8:18 am
The problem is that you quickly run out of top 10 teams.
#11 Colorado- lost to OK State
#12 Western Michigan- lost to Wisconsin
#13 Oklahoma State- def. Colorado
#14 West Virginia- lost to Miami
#15 Louisville- lost to LSU
Other than OK State, you have to go all the way to #16 to find a team that actually won outside of the top-10. Michigan and Wisconsin should both be in the top-10, even if by default
