In Arkansas' case, they are losing 8-9 starters combined offense and defense

Losing returning starters is a huge deal. You upgrade your 2 deep by retaining the previous years starters and adding competition for them to hold their starting position.

Losing the bulk of your players who started with eligibility remaining is a disaster.

OU fans are coping hard but let's not pretend that LSU is in a much better position. You can't rob children's hospitals every year. There are two teams in the SEC right now that are doing things decently, GA and TX, and they both are barely above the shite slide everybody else is slipping on.

The next 2-3 years will be fun watching all of the dysfunction. Lol

I think LSU on OU are alot further apart that you think.LSU is a ledgit contender with a ton of talent and a proven head coach whose floor is prob 9 wins and his ceiling is 10..lol.

OU has a 3rd year life long DC for a head coach, just fired its OC a couple games into the past season. You've hired a new OC, your QB is in the portal.
They very well could land a killer QB in the portal and make some noise next year, but as of now they are not close to LSU

I love these day 4 knee jerk portal declarations lol.

So how did OU beat Bama and LSU lost to them.

Our DC is not BV, we have one in his first year and he did great with no offensive help.

Our OC has done great with QBs and offense. Oh, and we just hired the QB coach too.

Our offense will be revamped but fine. We were a 9-3 team at least with just decent offense. And you never know how other games go with some offense to pace the games.

Brennen Thompson moving on to his 3rd school? Ooof..

The kid has speed but doesn't have the hands or blocking ability to be an elite receiver if we're honest. Unfortunately for Brennen, the football field isn't the same as running track.

Maybe he does well with a fresh start, he seems like a good kid so I wish him well. (But get dat degree at your next stop!)

Jay ag is a known A@M troll and his hatred for OU is well known.

OU hasn’t finished outside top 10 in offense in a bit let alone top 25 …. This year with injuries bad, freshman OL and everything that could go wrong we weee horrible …. You guys act like we are going to be the same every year from here on out lol. OU already has the number 3 qb in 2025-26 . We always get receivers. OU hasn’t lost a single defensive player on a unit that was probably the best in the sec when you count the shitty field position OU had to start with all year and how long they were on the field … with that being said OU created tons of turnovers and sacks! OU just had the best OL class ever at OU. We are just a young team . All the players who left were either hurt or coming off major injuries ! Processing happens with some , some leave becuase OU refused to pay a kid a million dollars over four years to set on the bench and not even attempt to play!
We have a half decent offense we would have won 10 games with having the toughest sec schedule to date ! When the schedules flip OU will be in the top 1-4 slots of the sec !

You won’t be elite until you start pulling guys from the Southeast. Those country boys can play ball. You got to get some Louisiana, Mississippi, Georgia, Florida cats on the teams to supplement the Texas boys.
