Mizzou to Big Ten
UK to Big Ten or ACC for hoops
Vandy to AAC or Big East to better align
USCe to ACC to be in same conf with Clemson
Bring on FSU to SEC
Add UNC along with OU and Texas
and that would work

LHN must become SEC Network 2.
And we use that shitty early ESPN 2 font

advertising, which is the entire point of ESPN paying the SEC what they do. They don't pay the SEC what they do only to spread the SEC Network around the country. There's a reason the SEC's biggest games are on ESPN and CBS, channels everyone already had, more eyes and more money for advertising.
Sure, and I don't disagree that UT and OU are major draws. They definitely are.
But I do think it's risky to split revenue with two additional programs on the assumption that the increased ad revenue will be enough to be a net benefit to all SEC programs in the long run.
The last round of expansion had the increased SECN revenue as essentially a guaranteed minimum revenue increase. And the extra ad revenue was icing on that cake.
This move would not have that same inherent benefit. Although if you're going to have to make this sort of move, I admit UT and OU are about the best candidates you could ask for.

I would assume any move like this would run concurrently with negotiations with the networks. I'm sure that happened when Missouri and A&M were added as well. The SEC isn't going to add schools without having those deals in place prior.

They're already watching us every week
Only speaking for myself, I would 100% watch a lot more SEC games if this happened. I watch some games now, but honestly not that much. I watched more in 2012 & 2013 because of Johnny.. not because of the SEC. Same reason that I used to watch a lot of Louisville games.. to watch Lamar.
All that being said, the footprint mattered in the last round, but it may not be as big of a factor this time around. As I said earlier, if this happens, it will absolutely mean more money to the existing 14 teams.

Top heavy teams:
bama
Lsu
Georgia
OU
Next tier:
Florida/A&M/Auburn/Texas (subjective, changes based on who’s good, except for Vandy)
You pick one team from the top, one from the next tier, and two of the teams left

I don't believe it.
Oklahoma gonna leave OkSt behind?
Texas going to drop it's network and conference power?
And really it's not a good idea for 1 conference to have so many teams. Only 1 of them can be conference champion and all that.
Make a conference of only the best teams you can find, and in 10 years half of them will be like the bottom of the SEC. There is only so much room for success.
It's about the dumbest shite possible, which is what scares me into thinking they might actually do it.

Texas and Oklahoma fans are unusually giddy at the prospect. Didn't have a clue they were that fed up with their big 12 product.

Whatever the reasons behind this obvious ploy might be, at least it got aggot to admit the real reason why they left the BIG XII.

So that means LSU might not play Tennessee until around 2050?
…and by that time, they’ll have gone through 15 more coaches, figured out a way to cram 10k more seats into the stadium without increasing its physical size…and they’ll still suck.

I find this article hard to believe. We have heard nothing about realignment in a while now. Suddenly, some writer comes out of nowhere and says UT and OU could be joining the SEC within a couple weeks?

Honestly the most it would be worth keeping A&M out just so we don’t have to hear the that one song that they play over and over again to me.

I believe this is a lot to do with the paying of players and Texas And Oklahoma see the handwriting on the wall that that will be hard to compete with the SEC and the big 10, pac 12!

1-Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri
2-LSU, A&M, Ole Miss, Miss State
3-Alabama, Auburn, Tennessee, Vanderbilt
4-Florida, Georgia, SC, Kentucky
IMO - Arkansas & A&M would prefer the pods this way. These pods are kinda perfect if you ask me..

Greg Sankey is meeting with the SEC refs and the Horns Down will be good to go from all teams.

Absolutely.
My biggest hesitation in relying solely on future ad revenue growth is we are watching in-person attendance drop nationwide, falling interest nationwide in sports in general, and in particular rapidly declining interest in traditional sports among young viewers and also pretty much everyone outside the south and midwest.
I don't doubt that networks are salivating for the ad revenue UT and OU bring today, but will that value be there in 10 years? I love college football, and in ny heart I'd love to think it's going to be a huge sport forever. But my eyes and brain are telling me that probably won't be the case. If it were me, I'd want the guaranteed cable sub money for any new members to mitigate those risks. But that's just me.
