The base of the team that just embarrassed the SEC and the nation was a bunch of 2 and 3 stars. Imagine what he will do now with some actual talent.

He managed a #6 in the final AP in ‘18 without Brady and won at Jordan Hare. When was the last time genius Gus managed a final top 10?

Yeah this isn’t a good take from OP.

Deculus, Shelvin, Chaisson, and Delpit were about as close as you can get to 5* without being 5*. Pretty sure those 4 were ranked inside the top 40-50 players overall.

If I didn't know the names I'd swear that was Western Kentucky's roster with all those 2-3 stars!

What a minute weren’t you morons laughing at Brady before the start of the season? The SEC rant scoffed at the idea of a position coach having any impact on the season, but now LSU can’t succeed without him????

Never change morons. Never change!

LSU had the most talented team in the country last year. Hints the most players at the combine and we return 2 first team all Americans that will both be top 10 picks. Oh yeah and the greatest QB ever.

So, the inverse of what LSU fans said all year? Brady was an amazing innovator, instrumental in all things. Genius, God's gift to the passing game.

We're just accepting what LSU fans were saying all season. You guys should be happy - we listened to you, and we agree that Brady was an insanely important cog in your offense.

Why are you all so pissed that you changed our minds?

Well, considering what we've been seeing the past decade, can you really blame us?

Nobody's pissed. It's funny that people rag on Linehan and point to the Cowboys... they were doing that with Dak at QB, and Zeke as the primary attack. No offense to Dak, but he's not an upper-tier QB.

I look more at what he did in Detroit, as a "passing game coordinator". Stafford put up a shite-ton of yards.

While OP acting like we haven’t had talent is beyond silly, it is true this incoming class is our highest per player average rating since they started tracking it, which is saying something considering the classes we’ve had here.

Exactly.

The post was an exaggeration and obviously very talented but Clyde, Jefferson, Moss, Cushenberry and even Burrow were not exactly recruiting rankings darlings. Ohio State was Burrow's only significant offer. So by recruiting rankings LSU will be more talented around 2021 and 2022 than in 2019.

If Ohio State, Clemson, alabama, Oklahoma, et al can have (and/or or be predicted to have) great seasons and be in CFP contention in consecutive years....'WHILE' losing starting QBs and other players, WHY CAN'T LSU ??????

ESPN has us TWELFTH in early preseason polls, but those other four are magically in the Top Five ?!?!?!?

Al lot of of our signees were also recruited by Nick Saban, so whose with me in officially opening the “Ed O can only win with Nick Saban’s recruits” debate!!?

I'm not saying they can't, but the 4 teams you have listed have gone to the CFP with at least 3 different QBs each.

They've proven they can. If LSU does, then they'll start getting that same benefit of the doubt IMHO.
