Even if they have similar stats, it’s not really close unless and until the Ohio St two are almost unanimously considered the two best receivers in the league at the same time.

We have a mitigation clause. We can waive it if he agrees to take less money on the way out.

Stuff like this makes me question the moon landing. They basically invented cell phones for the moon landing in the 60s and here we are with the equivalent of over a thousand 1960’s supercomputers in everyone’s iPhone. Makes you wonder how it’s this hard to go to the moon when we are so much more technologically advanced than we were in the 1960s…

First round of new content coming over next few weeks:
Bounty Pack 1 and Seasonal Event
I finally hit 50 with Vex and the bleed build is pretty busted for bosses and pretty much anything that isn’t a vile enemy after you get the contamination specialization.

The game itself didn’t follow the source material apples to apples. The showrunners said ahead of S1 that the show would focus on the book version rather than the game version.
Now, the showrunners didn’t do that either, fricked it up, and are the reason Cavill didn’t reprise. However, I don’t see this as something to rip Hensworth about considering the article says he played the game in the past and the show is theoretically supposed to be based on the books instead of the games.

I take a one daily pill with minoxidil/finasteride because I was starting to notice some loss and wanted to get ahead of it. Fast forward to 7 months later and I definitely have more/thicker hair. It's reversed both the receding hairline and thinning on the crown. I was nervous because of the finasteride side effects mentioned in this thread, but I haven't had any of those issues thankfully. I was fully prepared to toss the pills the first time I had a limp dick but I think I'm in the clear at this point.

Mine renews this month and went up $1k for the year. Same cars and no claims, tickets, or anything else. About to call my agent to see what the deal is since other people’s are going down.

Season 1 is terrible. Season 2 tried to right the ship and it was finally getting there around the last 2 or 3 episodes but the damage from Season 1 was too much. Something like Halo should print money with a built-in audience but Hollywood can’t help itself to not hire writers that openly hate the source material.

I think someone mentioned this above, but my only real gripes would be that the inventory system is a little frustrating. The other is that I bought this on console (didn’t want to deal with glitches people had talked about in PC version) and it uses a cursor in menus like the PC version which is a little annoying. Those are pretty minor things though. Gameplay is top notch.

Really been enjoying this game. Dialogue isn’t as good as 2, but I’ve still been playing every chance I get. As someone who 100% completed 1 and 2 but put 3 down pretty quick, this was a huge step in the right direction for the franchise.
re: Question for white collar baws
Posted by Dixie Normus on 10/2/25 at 6:58 am to Prodigal Son
I’m white collar with some blue collar family background. Grew up working on construction jobs and in the shop as a kid and now am an attorney that partly does construction litigation. Through my job, I can see a big need for competency in the trades and often times think I could drop what I’m doing and kill it being an electrician, plumber, etc. I do well, but I’d definitely be willing to trade some of my stress for lower pay. Long hours have gotten more difficult since I had my kid.
So, as someone who has thought about making the switch, yes, pay is part of the barrier. The bigger thing is I would want to start my own thing or be a co-owner pretty much off the bat because I would bring a lot more to the table than the average worker since they would basically have an in-house lawyer as well. No one is going to do the latter and the former would require me to be an apprentice or go to trade school with a large time barrier (which would create a pretty big pay disparity for a few years). Those would be my main problems.

What surprises me is the lack of decommitments in basketball vs football. It's rare to see someone flip, and in football I've done to expect it about half the time.
I remember one of the national recruiting guys talk about this. The gist is that there’s a lot more unwritten gentlemen’s rules between the coaches in basketball. When a player commits, most of the other coaches back off and only reconnect if the kid reaches out to them. CFB they never stop.

Hard for me to imagine a Lake Charles kid ending up anywhere but LSU. It’s probably the most pro-LSU city in the state outside of Baton Rouge.
re: What should I avoid per a trust and will? Lawyer? No lawyer?
Posted by Dixie Normus on 10/1/25 at 11:48 am to Harry Rex Vonner
If its a complicated plan to avoid inheritance tax or other more complex/nuanced issues, its not an unreasonable quote and you should pay him to do it because there’s a lot of traps for the unwary setting up stuff like this. Just a basic estate plan with no nuance, that’s a pretty high price tag but not so high it’s unethical depending market, firm, specialty, etc.
For comparison, my firm does basic estate plans (will and POAs) for a couple at $1500 and $950 for a single. That’s in a mid-size market with board-certified EP attorneys.

I’ve helped clients on LIHTC deals in the past. If someone can afford the upfront capital cost and holding period, it’s pretty much free money over a period of 10+ years. It’s crazy how it works.

I’ve never had it. Nothing against it. I just have vasovagal and pass out from shots. That’s no fun for me so I avoid all non-required shots like the plague. Plus, I’ve never had the flu so seems like I’m doing alright without it.

I would’ve traded Arky for Florida. Overall, this is a pretty good balance though. I can’t point to one where I feel like one team got a gauntlet (ala Florida 2025). The SEC did a decent job overall with this.
