If y'all think you're going to roll into Oxford and put up 40-50 like y'all have been doing, you're in for a rude awakening

IDK. I'll have to think about it during the week and will post my opinion on it later in a thread (try to make it one I see you in).

Sometimes, I'll have a pretty definite opinion when a line first comes out like Ole Miss and Bama last Sun. So, I posted in that thread to take the points, bama wouldn't cover because they wouldn't be motivated enough (not that bama wasn't capable).

My initial thought is AU can cover that (I hate even saying that as well). First blush tells me the Hare will be loud and angry and make a difference. But it is not strong opinion AT ALL and I reserve the right to change my mind after thinking about it during the week.

I'm torn here. On one hand I agree b/c of the nice job y'all had w Bama, but Texas went like crap through a goose with you.

I know Texas better, so that is where I came from my comments.

You might want to slow your role. I think 8.5 may be too many. That line should be 7 tops and I would have set it at 6.5. I would not be surprised to see it move to 7.

Ole miss has a nice offense but their defense isn't there.

Did you watch the Ole Miss/Bama game? Holding Bama to less than 40 points is a pretty big accomplishment.

No disrespect, but I will be shocked if you hold us under 40. I'm not suggesting that we will do to you what we did to Arky, but the line is off. Should be +14, IMO.

See my above. I know y'all were up for the Texas game, but at the same time, surely you were up for Bama. Two very different defensive performances and I'm not sure which is closer to reality.

Aggie just thinks they are going to run through Ole Miss has another thing coming..

Ole miss is a good football team..No doubt about it..No quit in that team..freeze was absolutely the right hire and has yall in the right direction.

If you play the same game you played against bama, hit them in the mouth, and dont throw dumb passes to the other team, i think ole miss will win.

I pray they come in cocky as hell, because Ole Miss loves playing nothing more than a cocky team.

Thanks for the imput. My gut tells me Auburn can and will cover that #,however past performance against Arkansas tells me they for some reason have AU's #.
For now, thinkin i will stay away from that bet.

Stay cocky. You won't put even close to as many points as Big Brother did. Bama barely got half what they did, and that was in their own stadium.

Who the hell have y'all beaten that's worth a damn that would make you think the line should be that high? The one time you played a formidable defense your offense looked like hell.

No shite. Everyone in the SEC should know that Ole Miss is a heavily volitile team to bet for or against. They'll often blow up with a vastly inferior opponent, beat vastly superior opponents, and more often than not either win or narrowly lose, but still manage to beat/not beat the line. Ole Miss is the last team in the SEC that you bet on.

1. The Ole Miss defense is nowhere close to as good as Florida's.

2. Florida was the first game of the season with a new offense and a FR QB playing his first game. Every defense since has tried the 2nd half Florida defensive gameplan and failed. Your offense will score some points and make things interesting, but it is unlikely you hold us under 40.

I could be underestimating the impact of a road night game atmosphere, but I just don't think the Ole Miss D is good enough to shut us down.
