LSU will be looking for a new HC in in 4 years when Kelly still can't win a championship at LSU.

LSU fans been saying LSU will win a championship within 3 years. What I am saying if Kelly doesn't win one in 5 years, then that will not bode well for LSU fans.

Name another college whose last 3 coaches won a national championship. But you're right. We don't like to lose. It's Mizzourable

I can name a college that can't maintain success or keep coaches that would have maintained success. Does that help you?

I think Oklahoma and Texas are in for a rude awakening when they join the SEC.

You’re right, I forgot that what happened in one season is what must happen in every subsequent season for the rest of time. Thank you for the reminder.

OU is looking ahead to a long drought without much success. They know it.

Dabo, that you?

It's about including everyone else.

I’m sure I’ll get roasted for asking, but how will the “top” 12 be decided? From the poles 1-12 or will it be pulled from the top 25 or conference champs regardless if ranked or not?

My picks(in order)

UGA easy choice
LSU solid
OU nope
Bama easy choice

Next up:

Tennessee solid
Texas nope
Florida only if they get the NIL fixed
Auburn only when we don't expect them to

I think over the long run, we are going to see increased parity within the SEC but a growing gap between the SEC and the other conferences. The Big Ten will retain some relevance, but the other conferences will get left in the dust.

You need to be planning on beating Alabamas arse next year.

What does that have to do with a 12 team playoff?

No it’s not, Sankey had said publicly; very recently. The goal is to get 6 teams in

That may be the goal, the question is if that becomes a reality. It is not the polls or computers anymore it is a committee - who at best may have just 1 member - and most assuredly not the majority. The committee will pick then set the narrative to match their picks. BCS was fine to get the best 2 until the B1G and PAC were not in the 2. Now we are at 4 and the B1G got 2 in for playing weak schedules so they have proven SoS does not matter.

SEC has product
B1G has eyeballs

Folks need to understand this when the SEC is excluded.

If you look from a single view you will almost always be wrong. When you look at the big view you will usually be right.

LSU and Oklahoma will be in fairly consistently.

This is a big season for Oklahoma. I'm not sure how long of a leash Venables has. Yeah, injuries, but that 49-0 loss to Texas sparked a little flame under his seat. They need a fast start or they need to absolutely nail their next coaching hire. Otherwise, I can easily see them sliding into that 8-9 win territory where they have trouble breaking through.

Consistently? UGA and Bama.

LSU will rotate in every now and then.

Like every 4 years or so. Look what Kelly did at Notre Dame. He should have got it up there with a much easier schedule. Now he is facing a brutal schedule every year. Wonder why the SEC has been the best conference in the league for a while now. I guess LSU fans thinks Kelly is the answer to win it all and do it more than once like the others failed to win it once and then got fired after a few years winning a championship.

3 teams in most seasons seems most realistic.

As we're dropping divisions, it gets a little different with league play and the SECCG (both of which participants would be in a 12 team field most years). In the NIL landscape you would expect some combo of UA, UGA, LSU, TX, and TAM to be perennial contenders (+/- TN, Auburn, Florida) as they seem poised to hoard the best ooayer

Just because Missouri became dogshit after a division title doesn’t mean we all will

Kelly would have had Notre Dame in a 12 team playoff 7 out of 11 seasons

So that’s 2 for 2 on dumb shite you’ve said in this thread

Consistently UGA because they’re the smartest retard in the East. Bama until saban retires and LSU restores the rightful order of the west
