Not really sure why some of these teams are above Tennessee. We have easily more talent on the team than Missouri, South Carolina, or Ole Miss. But whatever lot of question marks this year. I guess id prefer to try and go under the radar. All Im going to say is Heupel has been a much more consistent winner than half the guys above Tennessee on this list.

Yeah, that really showed the last time we played.

I mean Heupel has a winning record over Missouri. Missouri has not had a recruiting ranking above Tennessee once in the last 5 years or possibly ever. I feel like its just a fact to say that there is more talent on Tennessee and Heupel has been more of a winner than Drink. But keep clinging to 1 win over us in the last 5 meetings from two years ago

So we're still going by HS recruiting rankings when evaluating a team's talent?

Maybe but someone has to be #1 and every team has major ?
This isn't kool-aid drinking Texas D is going to be nasty upfront and their pass rushers will be elite. If Archs learning curve will be somewhat mitigated with his mobility. If he shits the bed thats one thing but if he is 75% of what we think he might be Texas wins a lot of games only needing to score 20 points next year as this D will not surrender much.
I think Texas is #1 - to at worst #5

Tennessee has had more draft picks, more SEC player of the year awards, more ranked finishes, better highschool recruiting, more head to head wins, better bowl wins, and literally anything else that can be thought of. I think we have earned the benefit of the doubt against Missouri in any conversation
Yes id say its safe to say Tennessee has more talent than Missouri

That's something that I haven't given in a long time.

All of that may be true, but it has NOTHING to do with the talent on the 2025 teams. It's a lazy take. Congrats, you are just like the SEC media.

lol its not "maybe true" it is "definitely true," and its not a lazy take. Its a fact that Missouri has not recruited better than Tennessee and there is more NFL talent on Tennessee. My point being that SEC media got this list wrong and you think I'm too lazy to differ from SEC media. Youre just a fool. Get out the SEC bum

I’ll believe it when I see it. My money is on a disastrous start with Hugh canned midway through the season.

Way too early means just that. And if you’re admittedly in the dark why comment

You’ve got to be kidding.
Last season Mizzou was in most everyone’s Preseason Top 10. They absolutely did not finish close to that.
…and the season before that MU was unranked in anyone’s poll and finished the season 8th.
That said, who cares. This preseason ranking shite is just for clicks, especially with the portal now. You can talk about returning production all day long (if it in fact returns), but no one really has any idea until you start playing the games.
