1. No hate for the man. Solid overall coach and seems to be a decent guy.

Everyone starts somewhere. Cochran is a known quantity in terms of work ethic and familiarity with philosophies isn't a bad idea. And, he will certainly be a loyal hire, which may be most important. He is going to be phenomenal as a recruiter and connects well with the players. Lots of positives for the hire.
Plus, STs coach is possibly the most low threat of all in terms of being a single point of failure from a marginal coaching hire. Getting the best athletes on the field and good specialist coaching is most of the battle.
I think it's a good hire by Kirby. Provides a nice update on Bama inside info as well. Not a bad idea with a Sept game vs Bama on the schedule.

Don’t care. He is Mark Richt 2.0

1. His teams are charmin soft and the SEC equivalent of a rent- a - win for LSU. Vandy but redder.

Letting Texas win the Sugar Bowl should make Kirby at least a 6 for this crowd.

Kirby is a baby back bitch. As Chuck Oliver said you always have to look after yourself first. Take care of your work. Instead Kirby was worried about what Alabama has going on so he hired one of their guys and put him in a position he has never coached in rather than hire someone with a track record at that position. Or hell just hired someone with on field coaching experience at all. Kirby is worried about Alabama. Not too worried about improving UGA as best as possible.
Another idiotic take from the resident techie.

Love him, he lays down like a baby for LSU.

Not as much as Vince Dooley
More than Ray Goff
About the same as Mark Richt, so about a 5.

I don't hate anyone in college football, but those Penn State frickers came close a few years ago.

I mean, LSU kind of owns him and he seems like a normal dude. No reason to hate him.

Of course you make a post that makes no sense:
Florida owned richt.
Kirby owns Florida.

He coaches at Georgia. So always 10.

He got a couple wins while the Gators were down. That is all. Mark Richt 2.0
Even Richt beat UF a couple times.

I don’t understand how people hate a coach for leaving a school to go coach his alma mater and do very well.
He recruits well and I guess that’s where the hate comes from. Then the “bagman” threads start as if their school was outbid. If that’s the case, then your school is paying too so the point is moot.
He’s a 1 for me. No need to hate him.

Kirby owns Mullen.
