The aftermath is almost as enjoyable as the win

They have a roster that only a few teams can compete with on the field.
On both lines of scrimmage they are elite.

In fact the SEC probably has more elite linemen than any other league.
Several teams in SEC can build a roster that could potentially compete with UGA. Certainly Alabama, LSU, Florida(eventually), Auburn (eventually), Texas, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Tennessee. Maybe some more can pop up now and then.

Outside the conference there may not be that many teams.
Ohio State, maybe USC, maybe Michigan, maybe Penn St.

Of course, the QB will be new, but he may have more upside than Bennet at least draft wise.

Basically, UGA is in a great spot. They will be in the playoff next year. When it goes to 12 teams, UGA will be in at 10-2.

For a 12 team playoff, it will be hard to limit SEC to 3 teams most years. I would think 4 or even 5 might be the norm.

I remember Alabama talking about a Threepeat. It didn't bother me, because i knew they were very good and it was a big possibility. It was on the table.

Why does it bother you so much?

I agree. as a result, I don't think we will see a dominating run like Alabama has had. (I guess it is possible, but not probable) Well, that and there is only one Nick Saban. He might have had a little to do with it.

They will cut through that candy cane schedule unless UT can rise up in Knoxville, but this time Bama will be waiting in Atlanta.

Heard the same thing in 2013 about Alabama and suddenly Auburn had a good football team.

South Carolina, Florida, Auburn, and Tennessee are all on the schedule. One of those might be able to knock them off.

Alabama is always good and LSU could be as well. Two losses knocks them out.

Not saying that’s the favorable outcome for next season, but no program is bulletproof.

You are there.
Back to Back Natties.
Another appearance.
Odds on favorite in 2023-24.

Seems like a dominating run to me.

Have you seen their schedule?

They may not face a team with more than 2-3 blue chippers on their roster until the SECCG.

This…people looking at any SEC game (especially road games) and marking this as automatic wins must not pay attention each year

Have you looked at their schedule? If they lose it won't be until the post season.

Auburn, get your shite together. You’ve been dragging down our schedule. You supposed to be SEC

And we're the only arrogant ones.

We're the only ones talking about a three peat right now.

Where are the other teams? Why are they acting so humble?

Winning championships always requires a bit of good luck. UGA beating OSU despite not playing their A game required some luck... and they got it this year. Last year UGA needed a bit of luck for the right scenario to exist to make the playoff.

The rest of it though is having a good enough team where a spot of luck is enough to get a championship. UGA will likely have that next season. This year's team was very young... which everyone talking about Stetson being an old man seemed to distract people from.

the starting lineup only had 2 seniors on offense, 3 on defense and 1 (the kicker) on special teams.

UGA will likely have 2 additional junior defensive starters and 2-3 offensive starters leave early for the draft. Other than that they have 3 seniors and one other possible early exit on their 2 deep at offense and defense... and I think two of those seniors can stay if they want due to Covid.

A stat was shown a few months back where UGA was 2nd among top 25 teams at the time in terms of snaps taken by underclassmen.

UGA was young this year... and got their young guys a lot of experience. If they hit at the QB position, UGA very well might have a better team than this year.

Now... that doesn't mean they'll win a NC. Again... some luck is required. But they'll be in the mix.

See, this is what happens when you pay theREC on time

I’m sure Ball State is grateful for the payout and we’ll get Oklahoma soon enough…
