The NCAA setup shop in Oxford for what? Half a decade? In the end, they concluded he didn't control boosters, but found absolutely no wrong doing (regarding NCAA violations) by Freeze himself.
If we had a competent AD, he would have forced Freeze to fire Farrar right away, and most of this would have went away.
Having said that, Freeze's undoing was calling escort services while he was out of town.
The shite about Briarcrest is really distasteful rumors with absolutely no proof that folks are piling on him. But, when someone is as hypocritical as he is (preaching constantly, only to be caught banging escorts), then folks are going to sling even more mud and run with any BS story they come across.

I personally think he may never be let back in the SEC or else we will find out the nitty gritty details of what was actually happening with the hookers. The story was already out there why else would he walk away from $12m.

I think it was more that it came out that he called hookers after Ole Miss had already kept him when most programs wouldn't. i think it was more of a straw the broke the camel's back than the single cause he was fired. Hugh Freeze essentially said as much when he stepped down.

Meh, I think it was more the NCAA could only definitively stick a certain amount to Ole Miss. I don't think what actually was given was overblown.
There was just way too much smoke on a lot of other things that were never proven for there not to have been anything more to it.

There was probably a lot more to it than what we know and neither Ole Miss nor Hugh Freeze wanted any of it to come to light, so it worked out best for all parties not to fight all that out in court.

kind of. He was still cited for a violation for failure to monitor, which is why he got a show cause. Freeze wasn't personally found to have committed any recruiting violations, but he was found to have violated NCAA rules as it pertains to his responsibilities as the head coach.

Freeze took the fall for the university and was paid handsomely for it. That why they don’t have shite now to spend on a real coaching staff. OM didn’t want the ncaa to find out who all those whores were really for.
