Serious question.. was there some "Freeze's side of the story" version of the events that led to his dismissal or was it just simply as bad as it looked?

Why would anyone want him as OC? He was only OC once and he ran a bad offense. I hope someone we play frequently hires him tho because of that

there was no "side of the story". Everybody involved knew the deal and knew what would happen if things came to light. Freeze was a perfect company man and did his duty.
Or, you can believe that he just voluntarily walked away from $12 million without a whimper.

Not really. The whole "paying players" thing was blown way out of proportion. Lewis maybe got $10k but he didn't even sign.
Tunsil maybe got a light bill paid and had use of a rental car past turn in date. He was probably flirting with agents too, but Freeze either willfully turned a blind eye to that or simply had no idea.
The ACT scam stunk to high heaven but im not sure that was Freeze's deal.

Freeze is a dumbarse, thin-skinned, and vain but he wasn't some nefarious cheater who was greasing palms left and right. He was dirty, but not rolling in the mud.

Of course there was something else IMO. You don’t walk away from $12M. You at least negotiate that down. He likely had a lot of leverage to burn a lot of people to assure he got that $12M otherwise. There had to be something else.

you're correct. I meant that there was no Freeze version vs Ole Miss version. There's definitely another side vs the official, printed version

What’s detestable about Freeze isn’t the cheating, but his total hypocrisy about claiming Christ while getting happy endings from Asian whorehouses and being addicted to adultery. Some people say the hookers weren’t for him, but even if that was true, leading people into sin is arguably worse than just doing it yourself. He’s going to bust hell wide open.

I don't dislike many college athletes, but Lewis is definitely one of them. He should've been blocked from playing after bating these two universities.

You realize that Lewis was Student Athlete#39 in the NCAA documents? Are all the other guys going to be blocked from playing as well. The only thing different about Leo was that the OM website warriors released his name. He should sue their asses off, IMHO.

Not getting into it with State fans over this. Just posting my opinion on Leo specifically. There was way more done by Freeze and OM, but that dude is a piece of shite that has more than one boo boo surrounding him.

I would not be surprised at all if there were not other arrangements to get Freeze that money if he will remain quiet. I don’t believe for a minute he walked away from $12M because they found some phone numbers to massage parlors or hookers.

Not only walk away from $12 million but then stay around Oxford, attending Booster Club meetings and glad-handing alums like he's still the HC.
