The funniest part about this is that A&M hired the AD who oversaw projects like this.

We are here for you brother. We will take you in with open arms and clothe you in the finest two colors that ever represented a collegiate athletic team. You will instantly know what the true meaning of family is. Your confusion over mascots will be immediately released as you bask in the tenacious magnificence of Jak. Your ears will stop bleeding from exposure to the prepubescent screams of David Kellum. All we need to hear from you are those two beautiful words...

Oh dear.

Umm.

I'll just pretend I didn't see that. I mean, I like to make fun of Ole Miss but isn't funny... its sad. I want to kick in an extra five bucks so they can put another "party deck" up.

Come on! I love your threads. You aren't supposed to jump in the muck with the others and their gay aggy posts. Lol (PS - I realize I served that one up)

Arkansas did a thing like this prior to the last expansion, but slightly nicer. They didn't really help student attendance as far as I know:

How bad does it piss Ole Miss off that their reputation is this and State is over here squeezing every little bit out of what little they have with their stadiums and general programs?

I'm not necessarily talking winning and losing, but just the general competency of their athletic departments.

If the football team was actually decent maybe people wouldn’t leave at halftime. It is actually a great idea if you spent time and money making it great. They legit went to the store and got a couple of tents to put in the bleachers.

When they ere beating Bama, the fans left at halftime. Every game that year. And when they were going to the cotton bowl with Eli, the fans left at halftime. It’s always been that way st OM

It’s incredible the strides MSU has made throughout their athletic dept compared to OleMiss. Same with their facilities.

State has proven over the last 15 years that our athletic department is superior to theirs in every. single. aspect. As of right now we have the best baseball stadium in the country (to go along with a winning team) expanded the football stadium (to go along with a winning team). Womens basketball is up, Mens Basketball is up (fan support is meh though). The student body is to blame for what has happened to Ole Miss. they are there for the party life style not athletics.

Athletic Department “could not go another season without doing something,”

Naw, I think they could have gone another three seasons, per the NCAA.

PS, please tell me that this was NOT the creation of the former Athletic Director.

It’s not incredible. Our university has been run by competent people for more than 2 decades. What is incredible is that some people still assume OM is the superior program.

Let's see how long those spindly tent poles stand up to the student section traffic.

Let's see how long it stands up to a good stiff breeze. One thunderstorm and it will be lawsuits galore from flying tent debris.
