Just saying they make it interesting, not usually a clear the bench type game given it should be a total mismatch.

Memphis is a 7 point favorite.

Nah, you can thank your boosters and Freeze which is why that was the only person he could get to take the job after 5 months.

Absofrickinglutely. We could go winless the next 5 years and I'd still say it was worth it.

Wrong sweetheart. He was given the job because our 4-5 best players threatened to transfer if he didn't get it. We should have told them to GTFO with him

OM ain’t losing to Memphis. They’ll be 6-6 this year. Won’t beat State though. Book it Dano

I know that I rarely speak about my opinion of Matt Luke but I am trying to be just a little more vocal about it.

During Baseball season HJJ renounced his black bear fandom to be an FSU fan. Something along the lines of "sweetheart, I'm an FSU fan see".

It will be interesting to see what Taggert does in his 2nd year (for both folks that watch FSU football)

To his/her/its credit, they have been staunchly pro-"hookers and freeze" and adamantly against ole miss alums (Luke) since the beginning.

Didnt you know, they had Saban lined up and the AD went another direction with Luke.

In 5 months they could not find anyone more qualified who would accept the job, this is why Luke was hired and is still there.

After a bit more water passes under the bridge a new coach will be hired and the OM fanbase will shite on Luke for decades who was in a position to do no more than stop the bleeding.

So your players run the program now and the AD went for it because they wanted maintain that 6-6 performance?

It's funny when the excuses are worse than reality.

Yes. That's exactly what happened. That's why we were all stunned/relieved when A&M hired him. Bjork was going to be fired as soon as we hired a Chancellor

Clark would have jumped at the paycheck Luke is getting, and would have been a huge upgrade over Luke. Bjork is a bitch of an AD and allowed politics to hire Luke and give him a ridiculous salary. We're so lucky to have gotten rid of Bjork.

Can't believe it's been 20+ months since Luke has been hired and people still think it was Bjork's preference to hire Luke

It's not what happened, but it's funny watching an Ole Miss fan claim it.

Nobody wants that job is the real truth. Even Alabama had a great deal of difficulty finding a good coach due to the poor state of the program. Remember when we ended up with Shula? Remember when Alabama got turned down by Rich Rod?

This is all the side effects of your "Worth it". But I guess it's a whole lot easier to scream "Worth it" when you push off the consequences as other shite.

Yeah just ignore the coaches like Chad Morris that publicly stated they were interested.

Memphis has one win against UT in 23 tries, but they do have a winning record vs Auburn (2 wins, 1 loss) and Arkansas (3 wins, 2 losses). South Carolina is 2 and 2 vs Memphis, and Florida is 1 and 1. LSU has never played Memphis.

Seems like Memphis was always a 6-5 team with a stout defense when I was growing up in the 80's/90's, and they would give SEC teams a good fight but always come up short. I went to most of the Bama games in '91-'92 when they only lost 1 game, and one of the biggest nail biters was a 10-7 win over Memphis in the Liberty Bowl

HJJ is a complete dipshit of a human being and spends most of his time
Pulling for whoever we play in the off season.

The most miserable game I've ever been to in person was when Ole Miss beat them 3-0 at the Liberty Bowl
