No matter their recent string of success, being nearly a touchdown underdog at Memphis is just unacceptable. Nothing like being drunk for an 11 AM kickoff in 100 degree heat watching your team get skull drug by a Group of Five runt.

Just saying they make it interesting, not usually a clear the bench type game given it should be a total mismatch.

I assume you are talking about Memphis here.

Liberty Bowl first week will melt your face.
Bring a few gallons of water. You will lose pounds sitting in that stadium for a day game.
Be careful, no one wants to die in Memphis.

Going to a game stoned out of your mind isn't all that great, IMO.
Agreed, but I'm old. I just want to hit maximum comfort and then maintain. If I can achieve that through chemistry then so be it

Well, your Sugar Bowl winning team lost to Memphis by two touchdowns in the Liberty Bowl a few years ago Memphis has been a good G5 team for awhile now.

Let's not pretend that Memphis has not always given both Mississippi Sec schools a run for their money...heck they give UT a run as well.
We have won 12 in a row against them. Their last win was 26 years ago, but over the years it was a series with a lot of really tight games.
Memphis has one win against UT in 23 tries, but they do have a winning record vs Auburn (2 wins, 1 loss) and Arkansas (3 wins, 2 losses).
South Carolina is 2 and 2 vs Memphis, and Florida is 1 and 1. LSU has never played Memphis.

Fuente and Norvell did a good job building the program and Tommy West could sneak up on you from time to time, but Memphis State football is the definition of "meh". From 2006-2013 they won a total of 26 games. We'll see if their run will be sustainable.

State is 33-11 all-time vs Memphis.
Ole Miss is 47-11.
But I'm sure there are some Memphis moral victories in there

Ole Miss will lose to Memphis at the Liberty Bowl

Why hasn't Mike Norvell been hired by another school yet?

1-11 would be great then the few decent recruits you do have would go else where . Years of being terrible
