Yeah just ignore the coaches like Chad Morris that publicly stated they were interested.

No he didn't. Show me where he publicly stated anything even remotely that says that. When he was asked about the report he wanted the job, he talked about SMU players and that he was dedicated to them.

I doubt that there was a "lack of interest" in a position that paid over $4.5 million per year at the time.

At the least, Les Miles was interested. I know for a fact that Bill Clark was also interested. There's debate on Neal Brown's level of interest.

I could have lived with Les Miles. Hiring the worst O-line coach in recent history, that cannot be lived with.

Luke inherited a roster full of talent, no restrictions on recruiting, no scholly reductions (as they were retroactive). He only had to deal with a bowl ban... that's all.

Actually this is incorrect. Bjork was going to hire Dave Doeren but Vitter trumped his decision and made him go with Luke.

Fuente and Norvell did a good job building the program and Tommy West could sneak up on you from time to time, but Memphis State football is the definition of "meh". From 2006-2013 they won a total of 26 games. We'll see if their run will be sustainable.

Yeah and since 2013 Memphis has won 45 games.

You're going to get your teeth knocked in, thanks for reminding the rest of the Rant.

He doesn't.

He turned down an Arkansas interview, and since that puzzled idiots like you, someone came up with 'dubious' rumors with absolutely zero credibility behind them.

Enjoy your Matt Luke.

I don't think anyone will have to be in the upper levels for this game

Probably not. This was the game where they lost to Memphis right after beating Bama. They were at top right next to where the tarp was covering seating sections and the coon came at them when they started shaking the tarp.

I imagine a lot of them swore off ever returning to that venue.
