I think you have your secondary confused with ours. Bro y'all are giving up 289 passing yards a game

Well, its a good thing we don't throw the ball then.

Keep dreaming if you think this Oline is just mediocre...they are very experienced and have looked MUCH better the last few games.

We have plenty of DB's starting with plenty of game time under their belts. They are going to make it tough for your WR's to get open.

While the O line has underperformed, they've looked a lot better the last two weeks. LSU will be able to run on Ole Piss

We will be stacking the box to take away the run and force the pass. I can promise you I "know my team."

I would love to be wrong but I have a hard time rationally predicting an LSU win. LSU will have a hard time running against that D. Ole Miss will have to commit several TOs and or LSU have a decisive advantage on STs for The Tigers to have a shot.

I'm sure you will give our running game fits at times but you will not "take away the run". That is what every team we have faced this year has tried to do and we still have close to 1800 yards rushing for the year so far.

I mean anyone with a functioning brain would. Doesn't mean LSU won't be able to grind out a few first downs. LSU's game will be to burn clock and try to wear down the defense. It's just a matter of hitting a few passes and plays to take advantage of the aggressive play of your defense for LSU.

That being said, your defense is built to smother spread teams. You'd prefer teams try to hit you on bubble screens and flank you. Running up the gut negates that advantage to a degree. It doesn't mean you aren't plenty able to stop a run only offense, just means it's the best way to work down your style of play thus far. You want to get some negative plays and force the pass. Look at what it did to Alabama.

Guess what, there's no baiting LSU to pass the football. 9 in the box and man to man on the outside? #7 off left tackle. It's why LSU won't have much success driving, but a traditional run team with enough passing to keep you honest is the recipe for the most success against Ole Miss.

I'm sure you'd cream your pants if LSU were to win this weekend. Don't get your hopes up, we'll be undefeated when 11/29 rolls around

For LSU to win it would have to be a 17-10 20-17 type game where LSU gets 1 or both of: A special teams touchdown, or a turnover deep in Ole Miss Territory giving LSU a short field to score. There's a lot of pressure on our defense in this game. I tend to agree with the poster who said it would take good QB play to beat Ole Miss, and LSU doesn't have that. Having said that, you don't need good QB play in terms of statistics in their game vs. Ole Miss, but you need a threat that Ole Miss respects so it can open up the run game. You probably need to pound the rock to beat Ole Miss, and that just isn't happening when you don't have a respectable passing game. You'd need an incredible OL, and right now ours is pretty average.

LSU's biggest issue is being 1-dimensional.

LSU has a good OL and solid RBs. But we are gonna make u throw to beat us. The box will be stacked.
