They had the greatest coach and now they're stuck with Pete. that's what they can't get over.
You can't get mad at people for doing what they believe is best for their careers. I had my own law office for 35 years and employed up to 6 employees at a time. I lost some good employees who left for what they considered a better job. I was disappointed but never mad at them. They had that right.

Agreed. I’ve said for forever now that they’d be perfectly content with Playoff Pete (:lol) if they were confident in him and were glad Lane left.
Imagine if Les Miles had left LSU to go coach at Alabama in 2007 and we hired Nick Saban back. None of us would’ve been pissed.

For the 1000th time, no one is mad that Lane left.....Lane did alot of good things for the program. The MANNER in which he left is a different story.
You could do it the right way(Sumrall at Tulane) or you could try and burn the program to the ground, like Lane did.
The guy is a morally bankrupt POS.

Kiffin literally begged to coach Ole Miss in the playoffs and to try to lead you all to a National Title. It was your arrogant AD who cost Ole Miss it's best chance to win a National Title in 60 years.
That will be a decision your fan base will come to greatly regret, when you realize it'll probably be another 60 years before you get that type of chance.
Just admit it, your arrogant attitude and arrogant AD cost Ole Miss football a chance to win a National Title.
There is no difference between Kiffin and Sumrall. The only difference is Tulane acted like an adult, understood it was business and still let him coach in the CFP.
Ole Miss fans like yourself are the ones who are morally bankrupt.

Not sure what you do for employment but I'd be willing to bet that if you were openly shopping the job market by openly flying your family around to different opportunities, not too mention trolling your own fanbase on social media, among other things, I doubt your current employer would continue to have you on payroll......yet you think our AD should have continued to give Kiffin full access to the building for a month?

Let's pretend for a moment Brian Kelly was the coach LSU fans believed he would be. Now let's pretend Kelly did the exact same thing to LSU that Lane Kiffin did to Ole Miss, by taking an open Alabama job.
LSU fans would've been utterly apoplectic and rightly so. What Lane Kiffin did to the Ole Miss fanbase is one of the most low life things I've ever witnessed in sports. And it's the fanbase that matters, not the players. No one gives a shite about them, they're professionals now, and well compensated. But the fans? Well that's a different matter.
Urban Meyer has been the amoral, college football punching bag for years now. I can promise you, he welcomes Lane Kiffin's ascension.
You don't have to worry about Kiffin leaving LSU. What you have to worry about is the hand grenade he rolls into your football ops building, when he eventually does leave.

The funniest thing is they can’t decide if he’s a shitty coach or he’s such a good coach that he’s gonna leave LSU for greener pastures

Saban left for the NFL and LSU couldn’t shake Les Miles because of the success he was having. You guys lucked up and got him because daddy LSU wasn’t available.

Tulane recognizes and recognized where they are as a program in relation to Florida.
Ole Miss refused to recognize its place in the hierarchy of programs.
Thus, Tulane allowed its HC to continue until the playoff run was over.
OM’s pride and fake bravado wouldn’t allow the same.
It’s as simple as that.
