Oxford is the plain girl who spread her legs to land the quarterback, and who then acts surprised when he continues to flirt with the hotter girls in town.

In all seriousness it is disrespectful how Lane is handling this the last few days. If this was Florida instead of Ole Miss I wouldn't want him coaching the final regular season game.

He’s done a fantastic job at having us recover from the Freeze/Luke era. We’re more aligned and a better program because of him.

I understand him wanting to look at other jobs. I know we can match funding for his contract, and have great infrastructure for NIL. But we will never be the media market that other jobs can offer.

I cannot stand that this is happening when we’re in line for the playoff. I couldn’t tolerate it with Auburn while we’re seemingly losing every game in 2022 due to how distracted he was and cannot tolerate it now while we’re winning. The tweets and innuendo are fricking annoying. And his apparent inability to understand the new college football calendar while concurrently railing against it is maddening. If he stays, I’m happy. If he goes, it’ll show he doesn’t covet winning a title, as he’s leaving a definite shot (how good that shot is is dubious, but it’s a shot) at one to go rebuild another program.

Are you saying you are an administrator?

With that penmanship?

YIKES.

He’s in his sixth year at OM which is much longer than I expected him to stay, and he’s done a great job. I don’t begrudge anyone seeking a better situation for himself, but the time to do that is between seasons, not in the midst of one. If he bolts for another job rn, I’ll feel bad for the players and will think a lot less of him.

Unfortunately, with the way the NCAA has stupidly set up the portal period, it's impossible to do that.

People with integrity can always figure out the right way to do things even if it’s harder.

You couldn't be more correct.

I think how long he has strung this out is bad for Ole Miss, but no, you can have the most integrity in the coaching profession and would still have to look for a new job in the middle of the season. It's just the way the rules are set up now.

He has us by the balls threatening to leave right before the playoffs. If we were 8-3 it wouldn’t be that big of a deal

Personally, I’m disappointed. If he leaves, then it is what it is.

I teetered just a bit today but this is where I have been from the get go. I mean it doesn't matter where he goes, he'll kick our arse even if he went to South Carolina - maybe even Tennessee in regulation.

Does Lane call plays or is it the OC?

If he goes elsewhere and doesn’t coach a playoff game, what level of confidence do you have in OM? Idk enough about you guys to have an opinion.

According to the fans up until today Lane has called all the good plays and the OC called all the bad ones
