hope the addition of Texas and Oklahoma doesn't do more of the same to series like this.

This is why I have been anti-expansion since day 1. They’ll kill traditional SEC rivalries for more money.

Plus adding Texas is like marrying a woman that's already been divorced twice. She's got some issues that you'll be dealing with at some point.

Ole Miss fans will NOT go to games in Memphis

Hell they couldn't even sell out a tiny stadium on campus for a top 20 matchup

What games do they go to???

I was at the 38-0 game. I also attended the 69 game against LSU that probably cost LSU a NC.

Tragically Ole Miss barely recruits Memphis. Freeze made it a priority and got his arse kicked there yearly and we got out of the game.

Are you shitting me? Y’all had a minister in Memphis literally steering players to Ole Miss. He was one of your official bagmen

Sankey has already stated multiple times his #1 priority is that these 7/14 year gaps where teams don’t play each other exist anymore… this is even post the OU/Texas announcement.

Same here. Ole Miss has a classy fan base and prominent in West Tennessee. Also, great fishing in Sardis

Houston Nutt and Nathan Stanley was QB I think. We got mauled.

It was actually supposed savior Jeremiah Masoli (Sp?) who had transferred from Oregon and yes it was a mauling

Don’t worry though, I got to also experience being the maulee in 2009 and 2014 in person

I guess 2014 counts, I was nearly blackout drunk in the stands I was so miserable watching Worley get sacked repeatedly

The 09 game was the First game I'd seen in Oxford in four years since being overseas. I'd just gotten married two weeks prior, and my (now ex) wife actually gave me permission to fly solo, and crash with my old roommate who'd played football for Ole Miss. Wasn't Kiffen the Tennessee coach that game? I just remember Dexter McCluster put on a clinic, and it was a good weekend.

it’s a total shame VOLS play old school rivals OM and Auburn like maybe twice a decade now due to expansion.

I had some older AU fans talk about what a big rivalry AU-Tennessee and AU-Florida used to be. It is a shame that those games went away after the expansion.

The way it takes forever to play some teams is a travesty. Not sure what the answer is.

get rid of divisions, protect a few rivalries, and rotate everyone else.

Other than Ole Miss/State and bama/Auburn there are no other extreme rivalries. Do away with all of them if needs be....
