The facemask was bad but the same defender lines up in the neutral zone on the next play and gets the deflection is also ignored.

Yea, but why do you allow chunk plays up 10 with 7 minutes left? Funnel every thing underneath, make them use 4- 5 minutes instead of 2 and chances are you win, now its a flip.
