Football will bring down the SEC though.

Not every expansion team can shake the SEC to its very foundation like Mizzou. Give these OU guys a chance.

OU is in a similar spot as Mizzou with wrestling. The SEC is really dropping the ball on not having wrestling.

Also, most of the "coveted" ACC schools have wrestling, which gives the B1G an advantage come expansion time.

Not a single school will make their decision based on wrestling. My sport is like a half notch above wrestling on the title ix chopping block, and I'd never expect any school anywhere to ever make a huge decision based on our non-revenue teams.

You’re being obtuse.

OU is the best option we could have ever added.

Will they win a national championship in the SEC within the next five years? Probably not. But in the last four additions, they are still the best program we added, geographically, and program wise.

The universities have to find a home for their lacrosse, wrestling and other teams: you can't go independent. If the B1G offers a home for your sports and the SEC doesn't, then it's a stumbling block.

If you don't think that gives the B1G an advantage (along with their better media rights set up) then ok, keep believing what the suits in Birmingham spout.

Even if OU has 5 straight losing seasons, the blue blood status is for eternity.

Yeah, I’m sure track and field and cross country were huge in determining our status for membership.

Few care about these events, softball and women’s basketball included. In most minds these just drain money from the sports they really care about.

It is what it is I guess.

SEC Softball girls are often attractive, with bows in their hair and great figures. I remember watching a game in 2014 when I was recovering from a skiing accident, and the pitcher was so hot, I still remember her name. Baylee Corbello (LSU).

OU puts a nationwide high school all-star team together and beats the shite out of the pretty girls.

I could go for either.
