Go watch that INT he threw. Nobody blocked on the play and it was ridiculous. I can’t think of one person that could have thrown a legit pass

It was a ridiculous call anyways by your OC. Saying a TE sucks because he can’t complete a trick play pass is funny as hell

Nobody said he sucks. Can you read?

He's made of glass. He has NFL talent but he's a headcase and not a good locker-room guy. IF.....you can get him to go out on the field and actually play football, and de-emphasize his nonsense, he can play.

You guys asked for an honest assessment, and now you don't like what you're hearing.

If you really don't want to know because you want to believe you pulled off some kind of coup, then don't ask and just believe that.

Sharp is a big QB pretending to be a TE. He's athletic for his size, but people want him to be a TE more than he actually is a TE. He doesn't like contact, just like..............a QB.

Hmm. Something else to think about with this portal madness.

That's why he should've thrown it out of bounds. As a QB, he should know that. But he shrinks in the moment and gaffs instead, like I said.

LSU is Diva WRU. So Anderson will probably fit in. He is an NFL talent for sure. It sounds like by the end of his OU tenure, he divided the WR locker room. He and Andrel Anthony sat out the entire season when the team desperately needed them.

Oh and Bauer Sharp is a superstar in practice. Seemed like the lights were too bright for him.

You are correct.

I'm not saying those two can't be productive. I'm saying they have mental/character issues quite clearly. If LSU can get past those, they can get production out of them. But some of them are melting because they don't want to hear that.

You think us LSU fans aren’t acting the same way?

Saying he sucked was NOT because of a botched trick play, we know to lay that shite at the playcaller's feet (back in the Lincoln Riley days he used to call trick plays which were always a toss-up as to whether they would work or not).

No, our issues with Sharp are due to his not making a catch in a crucial situation, something which to be fair probably happened less than memory serves but make no mistake, they DID happen.

Anderson has issues with health, but I'm sad to see him go. I'm ecstatic that Bauer Sharp will not be our TE next year. That sums it up from me.

the pass could be perfect and more often than not, Sharp would drop it. I stopped counting how many 3rd down passes hit him right in the hands or chest and he just flat out dropped it.

How many third down passes did he have thrown his way, where the ball hit him in the hands or chest and he just flat out dropped it. I stopped counting

Nic Anderson is a stud if he can stay healthy. Track star, legit deep ball threat, has all the physical tools. His brother played RB at OU and was a beast, but also had a history of injuries that derailed his career. That’s probably why Nic was being cautious this year. He comes from a solid family if that matters, seems like a nice kid. Sucks he’s leaving. Unlike Nic, Bauer didn’t really do shite so IDK. The passing game this season was horrendous so it’s hard to hammer on a guy like Bauer, but he frustrated us every time was on the field. Couldn’t catch, couldn’t block. Lot of goofy arse play calling put him in odd spots, but for athletic as he is you expect him to do…something. Thats the upside for him, big, athletic kid who maybe can get it together if you’re patient with him, but definitely needs a lot of work.

That trick play was SO poorly executed by the OU offense. First the OU OL made it very obvious it was going to be a screen or mis-direction play by all 5 dropping in unison to the ground. LSU's DE Braydon Swinson was like, WTF are y'all doing and immediately noticed Jackson Arnold leaking to the opposite side so Swinson guarded him. When Bauer saw that he was guarded he panicked. He should have just threw the ball away. That trick play was a disaster from the get go.

I'm 58 years old and haven't played a real game of Football since the early 90's and I know better than to do what he did on that play. Throw it to the sidelines or take the loss. It's not rocket science. That said, I don't blame him or the coach for calling the play to try and change momentum. It's what you do when you're bad. But us real Sooner fans that had to sit and watch this shitty product displayed every week knows he would've never even sniffed the field except maybe special teams in the past. If a TE can't block or catch when open in crucial situations, what good is he? They're not there to be home run threats, they're supposed to be clutch and he was anything but. Teach him how to tackle and make him a defensive end. Worked for Ethan Downs
