I don't think he's terrible.
But he missed so much and most of his production came on drives where Florida was in a six deep near prevent.
He got the mid routes but we weren't blitzing and left it open. He had ~140 yards passing and ~ 40 yards rushing in the 4th when Florida was protecting the lead.
Watch the previous 3 quarters and you'll see what Arch can and can't do. He won't be facing prevent for 4 quarters

Am I remembering wrong?
Over paying for an O-line is indeed a thing. But this line was developed completely internally. Texas had every opportunity to upgrade through the portal but chose not to.
The D-line was built through the portal. And, well, they seem to suck too now.

So y'all did pay a lot for an O-line?
This isn't a gotcha, I'm just trying to remember.

That is a whole lot of chicken scratch.

I think the Texas D line will probably rebound pretty strong. They looked pretty good against Ohio State.

Arch was vastly overrated.Pre season the talking heads had Arch as a top 10 Heisman pick.
Arch sure ain't no Heisman candidate.

Dude, it’s Texas. Bastards all getting big checks.
Just waiting to clarify that this O-line was not built through the portal. Even though we had every opportunity to do so.
We had/have what is supposed to be a great coaching staff. And these guys look absolutely terrible seemingly overnight.
I have absolutely no damn clue what went wrong, and that is so damn frustrating I can’t even begin to express it.

And the truth is you’ve lost a ton on the OL and your left guard is a turnstile. The OL was not able to protect Arch against a legitimate defense at all.

It's really a terrible combination. A QB that is afraid to throw the ball, or doesn't see many open receivers, holds the ball way too long, and a miserably bad Oline that looks like they can't move for crap. Look totally un-athletic in every way, like they are just out there to take up space. No lateral movement or nothing.
And to add insult to injury, they cannot open up the Running game because nobody is scared of the passing game..
Sark is going to have to fire the Oline coach at the very least. They are really really bad. He needs to hire an OC also, he has obviously not developed Arch in the last 2 years...

Yup. On surlyhorns everyone has been saying that about our oline. Especially about our guards. And especially about our lg. we replaced stroh with brooks and nothing changed. Very disappointing how bad our oline is and we didn’t even go in the portal for anyone. We can run the ball and arch was pressured 39 times yesterday with 6 sacks. And mostly all from the line being absolutely terrible and protections being missed.
Brooks got a 0 from PFF is pass pro.

Y’all scored 2 TD’s. The defense wasn’t going to win that game without help from the offense.

But that loss yesterday was on the defense. Pure and simple. And that’s what is so damn infuriating, defense is supposed to be where this team eats.
Idk about that. It was pretty bad all around. Spec teams, offense, and defense. Offense with two turnovers that ruined our turnover margin. And both sides got crushed at the line. I think it is more on the offense.

It can be both things you know. Manning sucks and takes too long to make decisions. This was the case even when they played shitty teams.
The OL being not great is not helping, but outside of that, a generational talent should not be this bad even with a mediocre OL given their talent at the other skill positions.
If he had a significant injury then maybe you could understand, but he doesn’t and it is just the fact that he sucks. He was never that good of a QB and massively overrated as a recruit because of his family. He played shite competition in HS and looked awful anytime they played a halfway decent team.
That said, it was a team loss on Saturday.

I agree, it's Arch and the Oline. Even if they got the Oline fixed, he is still going to struggle. He will never have a pefectly clean pocket even with the Oline playing good. He needs to get rid of the ball way faster, and find the open receivers faster. He had plenty of opportunities, and blew it...
The offense is getting receivers open, he just isn't finding them and/ or scared to throw it, and indecisive, plus making some really crappy throws at times.

Traitor.
We're here to laugh at Texas and anyone who puts their ugly uniform on. I thought Aggies, out of every other team here, understood this.
