I am open to suggestions on anyway out of this shite.

1) LSU can just say frick out we give and it all goes away right. Not so fast SEC. LSU isn’t the one filing a lawsuit. It’s players that have already been determined by pretty much every court of the country to have an additional year of eligibility because the NCAA fricked up the implementation of the 5 x 5 rule. These players and maybe all the 5 for 5 plaintiffs in the country will sue the SEC, for RICO, antitrust and intentional interference with contract, etc. So who cares right?

By filing this lawsuit, or probably just amending the ones they have filed, with antitrust, civil RICO, torches, and affairs with contract, etc against all SEC schools etc twill give them access to all the communications between the SEC presidents, athletic directors, SIDs, SEC officials, Sankey, big money alumni, sports writers, etc. that had anything to do with this issue.

Of course, that includes emails phone calls, phone records, texts, meeting notes etc. You can only imagine what all will be in that but I will not be good and people will lose their jobs at a minimal. Sankey will definitely be fired, with all those authorized leaks, I would suspect Dellenger will be toast too as well as a few others. Then the SEC are going to be responsible for all lost income plus attorney’s fees plus 3x damages, (RiCO), punitive damages etc.

It’s a big ten wet dream. Not a good option at all.

2) The SEC can back down but that’s widely unpopular and then they look weak and Sankey will have to be the scapegoat at least. Still not a good option. Either way Sankey has fricked himself by not handling this internally and leaking shite etc.

3) You can expel LSU but they will sue and then there’s the discovery issue again. Also, then the media will change the narrative as soon as LSU starts leaking the shite they know and the discovery in the billion dollar lawsuit comes out, and it always does. Then it will shift to SEC hypocrisy, etc. Big ten will definitely help that spread around. Then not only will the SEC pay LSU 100s of millions of dollars in damages, could be a billion with a luck and great lawyers, but they will be the bad guy. And don’t think LSU doesn’t know where all the SEC bodies are buried, no membership no NDA. Another terrible choice.

Do you get the catch 22, a weak pussy pos petty commissioner like Sankey has gotten everyone into? There are no good options.

I don’t like any of this shite other than it’s fun on here but we need some fricking adults to take charge.

Gumps can’t you get some control over this shite? Can Nick do it? Is he willing to be become commissioner, until we can find another Slive?

Any ideas please post them.

Any of you lawyers out there see where I made an error point it out. Other than damages, which will be in millions now no matter what, but I am just guessing on here, I don’t see where I could be wrong but have at it.

Maybe some white knight billionaire alum just comes in and pays 10-20 million, 100 million, whatever to pay off the players, get them to ACC. Thats all I have.

LSU is not obligated to put a single person on their roster. Inside that lies your answer.

Pro tip: (LSU is not smart enough to put 2+2 together here ...)

Didn’t solve anything . BTW, the Louisiana’s AG just filed a brief.

The whole state feels like it’s being attacked now, and they will not tolerate that anymore than any other Southern state. We fought the civil war over that.
The SEC will 100% lose the hearing tomorrow now .

LSU (and a lot of other schools and people) know they have the power to do what they want regarding these athletes. They also know that if they choose not to roster them, those players can sue the conference….for a shite ton of money.

I gave you one possible way out, players don’t play, they are bought out. Thats by far the cheapest.

Personally, I would kill to see the emails and text on this one.

The solution is obvious. Allow the class of 2022 the same 5th year given to classes that preceded and followed them. Don't punish players who tried to turn pro when they were told they were no longer eligible, when they would've been eligible if they hadn't been intentionally excluded. Don't create a new SEC rule (and make matters worse) in an attempt to fix the NCAA's screw up.

In other words, do the right thing for those players and let teams make their own choices about whether to take them or not, with no interference from the conference. For once in the last 10 years, the courts are absolutely right about something, and now the SEC decides to dig in their heels and fight. Makes no sense.

In case you are paying attention, we are up to 60 lawsuits over this, and 320 players. See below:

College sports litigation trackers

You will notice that Missouri passed on Sterling Webb to follow all the SEC rules and they have already been sued just as I predicted

The irony here is hilarious. You and the rest of the fans of other teams besides LSU on this board make the libtards with TDS look intelligent.

Here is what will happen if LSU folds but it will SEC, probably every AD and president personally, Sankey, Georgia AD, personally, etc

Webb vs NCAA

This case was brought by University of Missouri defensive lineman Sterling Webb, a member of the high school Class of 2022 who played four consecutive seasons of college football: two at New Mexico State (2022, 2023) and two at Missouri (2024, 2025). Webb challenges the NCAA's decision to exclude athletes who completed four seasons by the end of 2025-26 from its new five-season age-based eligibility model. Webb seeks declaratory and injunctive relief under theories of breach of contract and the implied duty of good faith and fair dealing, arguing that he is an intended third-party beneficiary of the NCAA bylaws.

(No. 26SL-CC05297, Circuit Court of St. Louis County (Missouri), Judge Ellen H. Ribaudo, filed July 28, 2026)

Current Status

On July 30, 2026, the court granted Webb a temporary restraining order preventing the NCAA from enforcing its four-season limit, five-year rule, or transition exclusion to bar him from Division I football during the 2026-27 season. The order also prevents the NCAA from penalizing any institution for rostering, compensating, or competing with or against Webb and bars enforcement of the Rule of Restitution based on his participation.

Following entry of the nationwide preliminary injunction in Wisne, the parties agreed that a preliminary injunction hearing in this case is unnecessary while the Wisne injunction remains in effect. On August 12, the court extended Webb's TRO until it holds and rules upon a preliminary injunction hearing. If the Wisne injunction is vacated, stayed, or reversed, the parties must contact the court within five calendar days to obtain a hearing date. The NCAA's deadline to respond to Webb's petition is likewise stayed until that occurs.

Latest Event: The plaintiff filed an amendment to the petition adding the University of Missouri as a defendant and filed a motion for a temporary restraining order against them (8/31/2026)

You won’t be playing SEC teams this year unless you simply back off. May not even we n be part of the SEC anymore if things don’t change.

First off, no one on this site is going to do frickall to fix any of this.

Second, the SEC is as weak as woManbearshartReba's anal muscles, and has shown as much by giving us an added conference game with with no benefit, just to appease the Big 10.

Third, LSU is not leaving the SEC, and there will be no punishment levied towards LSU.

The players in question may play or they might even learn one of the most valuable lessons in life, that things are not always "fair" and sometimes just downright suck. No one owes any of them anything. frick 'em.

The rest of this bullshite is just trash for the media and message boards to sift through and recycle. I won't lose a minute of sleep either way.
