I’m pretty sure OSU season is over

21 days for any athlete from testing positive puts you past the Michigan game

1. I think tOSU is a top 4 team.

2. At some point you have to draw the line on games played. The Big Ten needs to take their medicine. Going 6-0 or 7-0 isn’t enough.

Would you send a 7-0 Ohio State over a 9-1 Texas A&M?

Thats honestly a ridiculous rule. But we all knew these rules were designed to fail by the Big 10.

It simply isn't reasonable for 21 days, hell that isn't even going along with CDC guidelines.

As a poster on another board I visit said ....

OSU/the B1G tried to strong arm everybody else into canceling their seasons.
They orchestrated ridiculous COVID stipulations that went beyond recommendations made by the CDC.
And they failed to insert a cushion into their schedules to account for postponed games.

It’s tough to feel too badly for them.

Cincinnati should play BYU for the 4 spot in order to get drummed by Alabama. I guess Northwestern could sneak in if they remain unbeaten.

Maybe you should know what the frick you’re talking abut before posting. Ohio State has done everything they could from day 1 to have a season.

Which is why I placed B1G synonymously with OSU.
The Buckeyes happen to be members of a conference that encouraged others to follow their lead.
I understand your frustration, but check your feisty attitude.
We’re all aware of what happened.

That’s the gray area. 7 games is fewer than a normal conference schedule. If they beat the Indiana and Northwestern, then I guess that’s strong enough. What a strange statement that was. Is the Big Ten just that down this year? Without OOC it makes it tricky.

No it's not. Schools are literally playing more SEC games than it has in its entire history.

Not really. This is one of the more pathetic years in recent history.

Especially if Ohio State, who’s the most talented team in the county, has to sit out due to a technicality.

Request for this comment to be removed as said posters team does not have necessary win total to be involved in playoff discussion. tia

As much as I don’t want to lose any of our last games, it would be funny as hell to see an all-SEC playoff

The B1G tried to show everyone how woke they were, thinking that everyone else would follow their lead. Only the pathetic PAC 12 joined them, knowing that their odds of making the CFP was nil.

And then the B1G backtracked big time and jumped back in when the other conferences were actually having a season with protocols in place.

A perfect example of fricking oneself if there ever was one.

Technically it’s not true.. about if either game is cancelled.. the eligibility rule fir big 10 is NO MORE than 2 less games played than the average number of games played by big 10 teams.
They have cancelled a bunch of games..
of the ave is 8 they have to play 6, but if it’s 7 then 5 gets them there. The current average is 4.57 games.. with 3 weeks to go counting today.. 4 teams gave a game cancelled already today and Iowa who has played 6 games is already included in the current avg...

All that being said, tOSU probably needs to play 1 more time to qualify.

Good think, those athletes with positive tests only had a 100% chance of survival.

This us totally inaccurate.. the political powers in Michigan and Illinois strong armed the BIG10 into trying to cancel... OSU fought this from day 1!
