He bothers me more as an analyst bad mouthing other teams so his alma mater can look good and/or get into the CPFs than as an announcer. His true colors come out when it's time for playoff talk.
Mac does BAMA games. Rogers does Vandy games and so on. It can be annoying but they tend to let guys do that. The difference with Herbie is his homer side comes out most when trying to shape the narrative for the playoffs.
