I mean honestly you could expand it to his entire career. He's only gotten to the 2nd weekend one time in over a decade and had to cheat to do it. Not even trying to troll, I just think if LSU really wanted to they could do better.
But I can also understand when it's as bad as it has been lately, Wade would feel like a relief.

Ah Hell! I was expecting the announcement of SEC office move to Dallas. I'm disappoint.

That's the way I'm looking at it. At least if we have Wade, it will be exciting. Trent Johnson, Johnny Jones and Matt McMahon act like they are in church on the sideline and aren't allowed to interact with what's happening on the court.

I feel that. Mike Anderson was the very definition of mediocre, but hiring him after Heath and Pelphrey felt like we brought Nolan back.

Why is Will Wade such a fixation for LSU fans? He’s a sketchy dude and doesn’t win that much.
They enjoy being our bitch.
It's really, REALLY weird.

Like I said, LSU is determined to bring him back. They are getting the band back together for a coach that honestly cannot even beat the tenth place SEC team. With two separate tries. He's a has-been.

I, for one, would love to have Wade back at LSU. It's what SEC Basketball needs.

They’ve come to realize mediocrity is their new mountain top. Plus, as with their women, they like to keep it in the family.

I think the writing is on the wall. NC State can now pursue an upgrade. His time in North Carolina has been "controversial" with the fan base. Most of them think he "might" be able to turn it around but has been a terrible disappointment so far.
It was entertaining to read their boards prior the tournament.

I really don't understand the excitement for a dude that got beyond the Round of 32 one time in 12 years of coaching.
Was he supposed to go to the Sweet 16 in 2 years at Chattanooga?
Was he supposed to go to the Sweet 16 in 2 years at VCU?
At LSU, he either dealt with covid or the LSU administration suspending him during the tournament.
Was he supposed to go to the Sweet 16 at McNeese?
Was he supposed to go to the Sweet 16 in year one at NC State?

If tweet fails to load, click here. “Im not someone who is a rumors and speculation type reporter but i will say this…all signs now are pointing that the LSU job is going to be open. And they’re going to part ways with Matt McMahon. And Will Wade is definitely on the verge of going back to Baton Rouge as LSU’s head coach in what would be one of the more incredible reunions.”
“Im telling you, barring something unforeseen, Will Wade is going to be the head coach at LSU.”

IDK if y'all are familiar with Jon Rothstein, but that dude is hilariously locked-in during college basketball season.
He's a great follow if you're at all interested in this sport.
