I’m sure it’s been discussed on here before, but am the only one who gets nostalgic hearing this when you watch a Tennessee game? Probably my favorite fight song behind Florida’s. (And yes I know “Down the Field” is their traditional fight song)

I like that song tbh. I like that part about that girl who is half mink, the other half cat...she sounds fun
and the part about them federal agents snooping around, looking to bust up some moonshine stills. They dead now, buried somewhere up in them mountains.

Typical Tennessee...stealing more shite from Kentucky. Old bluegrass tune written by Kentuckians. We also had checkerboard end zones first. And Tennessee whiskey is piss compared to fine Kentucky bourbon.

It wasn't created as a UT fight song, so it' isn't, they just adopted it later.

Isn't Rocky Top a generic Country & Western song that Tenn kinda adapted as their fight song thru repeated use
