In. They kicked our arse this year, and they deserve to be there.

We are getting better though.. just have to learn how to close out the games. A better OL helps with that..

Lol we're talking about bowl selections today, squirt.

That is the funny thing about Longhorn fans. Every time they try to puff up their little chests, you can look back in recent history and see them on the wrong side of things . . .kind of like the Horns not being bowl eligible just last year.

TCU having a great season because they are playing all upper classmen with a gritty fighter at QB. Good for them.

That said, Dykes is a known quantity. Mediocre coach who caught lightning in a bottle with Patterson’s players.

Good for TCU and they should thank us for creating a conference that they can thrive in.

You’re welcome, TCU!

recent history
recent like your school paying app state $1.5 million to come make you their bitch in front of your own fans? Recent like being preseason top 6 only to finish with a losing record? Recent like paying $30 million for a recruiting class that's going to see a large portion transfer after the first year?

Trust me, squirt. You don't want to talk about "recent"

Go focus on basketball (oh wait... y'all are hopelessly dogshit at that sport, too)

He said Gary Patterson is better than who Texas has hired. Texas literally hired Gary Patterson.

'sip hired Patterson last year after the TCU game hoping that it would help them beat TCU. His title is "Special Assistant to the Head Coach". Not exactly sure what a "Special Assistant" does but Sark now has one. They are currently 2-7 vs TCU over the last 9 years.

Did not seem to help this year. Sark still lost the game even with his new "Special Assistant". Sonny Dykes takes over this year at TCU and takes them to the playoffs and a possible national championship. Patterson is laughing all the way to the bank.

Seems like TCU made a good hire.

This would hit so much harder if your own head coach wasn't "laughing all the way to the bank" after having your school pay him $10 million, your recruiting class $30 million, and the mountaineers $1.5 million all to make a&m app state's bitch in their own home stadium

They sure did! Going 12-0 is certainly a lot to be proud of. You would know that with how many times Texas a&m has gone 12-0 in their illustrious history, right? Right???

In all seriousness, there’s so much preparation & putting the right things together that goes into winning. Then there’s the improbable & the luck & momentum that come out of thin air. It’s why I’ve always hoped for a playoff. There’s so many examples in NFL where teams have come out of the blocks struggling, then got better & barely made the playoffs & win it all. It’s hard to not root for those teams. It’s like David beating Goliath. TCU didn’t start slow but they certainly are the David.

I realize you are not the most intelligent poster on this board as indicated by your post from yesterday, but try and keep up.

Conference expansion is about money, not competition. No conference wants to bring in new teams that are going to be a drain on the other conference members annual income. TCU has a great team and have been pretty good for awhile, but they would not generate enough annual income to make it worth having them in the SEC.

I do keep up. I may be retired but pretty sure I know way more about conference realignment than the average bear. Clearly you missed the general point being made that TCU would be less headache than Utx.

The correct adds would have been VT and TAMU at the start (2010) and had political support but the goal is not to destabilize the ACC as I am old enough to know the truth battle lines in DI CFB

B1G + PAC
vs
Everybody else (I was on the ground floor in the old CFA days)

My post yesterday (that was missed by almost everybody) is the CFP and 12 expansion are to deal the B1G and PAC back in the deck. I called out the committee (rightly so) for rewarding the B1G with such weak scheduling.

Unfortunately, yes. TCU's single greatest decade somehow coincided with Texas's single worst decade.

What a maroon!

TCU had (2) Natty's in the 30's

Davey O"Brien was well before this decade

For PRIVATE schools they are 4th all time behind Notre Dame, Southend Cal, and Miami (some pretty lofty comparisons).

Utx for all it puffery had (3) Mattys with DRK (legit) and (1) with ButterTooth. OU ran train in the SouthWest the rest of the time.

Sorry. Not all of us were alive in the 30s like you were.

Dude, come back down to reality. This is the SEC. It's not the B-one-G, PAC-8-10-12-10-8, ACC, nor any other wimp arse cupcake conference. Get a grip!
