I'd say they were comparable. Alabama had a 2 score lead for the majority of the 2nd half. And then just ran the clock out for the 4th quarter. Our defense got multiple interceptions while Georgia ends up being 1 dimensional trying to come back.
Alabama probably could have lost by less tonight if they didn't go for the win on that 4th and 2 and give up the extra 7 there. But frick all that. Better play call would have been nice though.

If you eliminate the 2nd best team in the SEC for losing to the best team in the SEC how the hell do A&M or OM deserve to be in after watching their conference championship game at home.

I use to do my own advanced stats that were very similar and could pick the winners of games around 70-75% of the time.
I've been following them since it was on football outsiders. We both started doing them about the same time. I quit doing it a long time ago though because stats got harder and harder to find and I wasn't paying over $1000 a year for them. Plus, he was getting play by play stats allowing him to filter out garbage time stats and I was just using overall team stats. So I just started following his and FEI/F+.
And I was mostly doing it to find out if teams like Boise St were actually legit with the opponent adjusted stats etc. They were not.
I however did season rankings in addition to power rankings. I should probably do them again using F+ rankings because I have a really good formula that is better than the SoR formulas I see else where for grading seasons.
So yeah, I know a little about the stuff.

It was pretty retarded that they passed ND in the first place due to that crappy win over Auburn.
