He wasn't a cop. He was a private citizen working as a security guard at the dome. Like it or nor, prof, you don't have the right to grab or slap my arse. Period.

Are you a cop or just one who will unquestionably kneel and polish the jackboot before they step on your face with it?

Like it or not reading comprehension isn't your friend. I said they aren't owed any more respect than anyone else and that it's wrong to smack anyone's arse. Law enforcement's arse isn't special.

Almost every article on the incident say he was cop who threatened them with arrest.

He was armed. Look at his left waist. He's kitted up with three spare mags. He was a cop and one of the douchebag one's that give the rest a bad name.

That kind of thinking is why there is a lack of respect shown to adults, authority figures and our nation from children today.

Anyone that condones this a-hole's behavior is part of the problem as well.

Odell thinks he's above the law and nobody should even think to touch a law enforcement officer much less slap his arse. Blatant disregard for authority which also showed with his onfield behavior with the cash.

Put his entitlement ridden arse under the jail for awhile.

bull. Everyone is owed respect not just cops and cops equally owe the general public respect. Treating cops or anyone else like they are special is exactly why cops go on power trips and the public in turn distrusts them. Treat everyone with respect. Don't make cops or anyone else an entitled class more worthy than others.

You're thinking is the epitome of what's wrong with society. People that put their life on the line to uphold the rule of law, your rights and your freedom are absolutely deserving of more respect than the so-called next guy. Get your head out of your arse.

Cops upholding freedom now? Talk about stolen valor. Why is the notion that everyone deserves respect so bothersome for you? If you believe in freedom and equality you shouldn't have an objection regarding all men and women being created equal.

They should arrest Joe Burrow too for murdering the SEC and FBS in general.

So while I'm on my soapbox and touching the 3rd rail of criticizing the police amongst southern conservatives. For the cops can never be questioned and deserve more respect because they put their lives on the line for all us crowd.

For one. If someone is trying to kill your arse the cops will only be there to take pictures and draw the chalk line. It's on you to protect your own life and even the Supreme Court has said law enforcement has no duty to protect the lives of citizens.

They are there to enforce laws. And boy do they get a free pass for their often shitty marksmanship when they injure innocents with the spray and pray tactics. Make a Compton Drive-by Gangster envious with how much lead they will put downrange in public. A regular citizen will never get the same benefit of the doubt no matter how dire the circumstance. Every damn bullet you ever fire in defense of yourself will have your name, a probable prison sentence, and a trial lawyer attached to it.

Here's a list of the top 10 dangerous jobs. Oddly those cops who never hesitate to demand respect for their dangerous work are nowhere to be found. Make sure to give these forgotten heroes a special thanks for putting their lives on the line for making yours so much more convenient.

Top 10 Most Dangerous Jobs by fatalities.

1. Loggers
2. Fishermen
3. Pilots
4. Roofers
5. Thrash Collectors
6. Drivers/Route Sales & Truck Drivers
7. Farmers, Ranchers, and Ag. Workers
8. Structral Iron & Steel Work
9. Construction Workers and Supervisors
10. Landscape and Lawn Service workers.

What does that have to do with anything being discussed? How many times do I need to say everyone deserves respect for you to get it?

Wisdom would have been to simply go to Coach Orgeron or next in line in command, and ask them to accompany them in the locker room to get this under control so they don’t have to go in there solo and do it themselves.

The threats of jail time and confrontational actions of the cop is what stirred all this shite up in a locker room overflowing with emotions after the biggest of biggest games of their lives. You’d expect them to have just a little bit of understanding and good sense considering it’s a Louisiana team and they’re Louisiana cops, and they’re not dealing with hardened criminals here, but college athletes who are simply being college athletes after winning a national championship.

These people are freaking meat heads. They simply do not think, and do not know how to communicate effectively, which I suppose is why they have issues relating to their local community all the time. They go into a room swinging their big dicks whenmaybe that’s not always the correct response. They lack wisdom and communications skills, and that’s something I would think is pretty important for a police officer to have.

Words and insults are not crimes.

If a police officer can not calmly let that roll off their back without taking personal offense then they are in the wrong profession. I sincerely hope you are not law enforcement.

Wonder if there'd be a warrant out for him if he only "gently squeezed" said cop's arse? After all, it's NOLA, and we all know about . . .
