Harbaugh may be moving up ... rapidly

"Michigan is facing a new allegation involving ball boys relaying a Big Ten opponent's calls from across the sidelines. The situation with Jim Harbaugh and the Wolverines in Ann Arbor continues to get worse and worse."

He is still in year 1. Are yall really about to go 5 coaches in 7 years?

I mean we only fired one of them. One left for Florida and the other died so it’s not that bad of a look

Not that simple. I think he gets another season despite losing the better part of the 2024 recruiting class before early signing day.
The only thing he can do is recruit. As more and more talent leaves, the more his flaws are exposed. If he finishes 7-5 or worse the status of the recruiting class will be a consideration. And he's going to do so.

If Arkansas gets plastered early Saturday, he might get fired when the team plane lands Saturday night. At 2-7, they’d be officially out of a bowl game.

He needs to come home as a DC again.

Half the fan base wanted him gone mainly off the OM game. It was quickly realized how elite of a DC he was at LSU once he was gone.

If he loses the next 3-Florida, auburn, FIU his buyout drops by a third. No way they let him coach the last game and get his new contract record over 50%.

He’s safe until then.

of course he’ll beat FIU, they are a bad SunBelt team, so you’re on the hook for that entire $16 million buyout

which means you will have bought out three HCs and their staffs in the last 6 years

thats AU-level stupidity

Baylor is a tough school to recruit. I think Dave is safe if you overlap his results with talent level there. The biggest surprise is Baylor’s offense has dipped. Maybe Grimes isn’t the answer at OC.

Don’t think Dave is going anywhere this year. They will probably can Grimes as OC. Baylor donors are a little more patient. They have also dolled out some money for some big projects lately and the money isn’t there to buy out the staff. His contract runs through 2029. His buyout would be in the $20 million range plus another 5-7 million for the rest of the staff.

But you'd be better off if he was! Florida deserves much better.
. I agree with you. But, with this recruiting class coming in, he's going to get at minimum one more season, probably two.
