The Vols were 6-1, ranked #7 and looking like a team that had an outside shot at getting back into BCS Title game contention. Alabama limped in at 5-2, with losses on the road to Arkansas and Florida and uninspiring home wins against winless Duke and Ed Orgeron's Ole Miss Rebels. The Vols entered the game a 10 point home favorite. Gameday was asking if the Tide could even find a way to keep it close.
Erik Ainge and Arian Foster led the Vols to a stirring comeback victory over Mike Shula and the visitors from Tuscaloosa. The Vols sacked John Parker Wilson with 10 seconds left to seal the game. Vol fans rejoiced

This thread truly epitomizes the awful weekend in the SEC we have coming up.

I am about to step outside to light a cigar, and will be reading the OP continuously until I am finished, but will absolutely not scroll down further than the .gif of Jerod Mayo sacking Bama bangs

Alabama's Streak of not losing to Tennessee will be able to smoke a victory cigar in a few years

Average score is 38.3 to 12.6.
Bama has failed to score 21 or more twice. Tennessee has scored 21 once.
What a time to be alive!

Totally forgot that Tennessee was #9 in 2016.

And coincidentally, this weekend will be around 38-13.

I do think the new coach has them on the right track. I never thought Botch would get them there. If they're patient, Vols fans might see a TSIO W within the next 4-5 years.

No one knew what an iPhone was the last time Tennessee beat Alabama.

Wow. Tennessee really has turned into Nebraska.

There are parents out there who weren't even alive when Tennessee last beat Alabama

And to think, the following year was also the last time Georgia beat Alabama. Very sad.
