I see all the whining other SEC teams have been doing about LSU getting night games is paying off for them.

To be fair, our fans are almost all perfectly fine with 230 for this. Will be dark in the second half and we have done better against Bama during the day I think.
I also think it makes sense they didn't want this going up against ND/Miami. LSU Bama is a big ratings driver and will be so especially this year.
They sacrificed Ole Miss/UGA's ratings instead.

Because it wouldn't get the ratings LSU/Bama would. They didn't want to sacrifice LSU/Bama to go against Miami/ND.
It's all about maximizing ratings/money.

It’s just been a tradition at LSU to play at night much longer than TV contracts have been a thing. Out default is a night game. It’s been that way forever. Only TV contracts change that. It changes our traditions, people’s Gameday routines, etc.
