The SEC has a reputation built on a 3-4 teams and the rest are cup cakes.

These are the teams that have won a title since the BCS 1998

Tennessee (1)
LSU (3)
Alabama (6)
Auburn (1)
Georgia (2)
Florida (2)

During this time period Arkansas and Ole Miss winning BCS or Big Six games. No other conference even comes close to this. Mississippi State of all teams was actually ranked #1 in the AP during this time period.

This isn’t the 1940’s Dave. Notre Dame is no longer relevant in CFB. They sold their soul to the devil to make money.

They live in the past, while playing a cupcake schedule, losing to the good teams, beating the weak garbage teams, then getting into the playoffs based on their name. They then proceed to get arse raped and go home. Rinse and repeat.

Join a conference. Or make a decent schedule. Or quit losing to the only decent teams on your schedule. But quit whining about being left out. This is 2025. Be a man.

You can schedule better teams, but you know your only path is to stay in the acc sorr of and play a couple of west coast teams to be in the playoffs discussion.

Someone actually said the SEC has been the best conference? Then they start quoting 30 years of games. Just hilarious. The BIG has won back to back Natties yet the SEC is the best? Being the best isn’t having the largest fanbases or rich boosters willing to spend money stupidly - see wood boy at Auburn. Being the best is about winning the big games. You guys said that for years when you “were” winning. Now that you’re not winning it’s suddenly about passion and fanbase size and money. For once, maybe you guys could give other schools credit.

last time touchdown jeebus was relevant. Most of your glory is from the 20's, 30's and 40's. You can't sniff the SEC.

Bingo…you are the exhibit A on why everyone hates Notre Dame. Your stupidity and hypocrisy noted. A&M played 5 teams that were ranked at some time during the season, won 4 of 5 …in addition to a couple of other tough SEC teams. ((Florida, Auburn, Miss state, for example) ND played a pasty schedule. Nobody was except the zealots at ND believes the ND schedule matched an SEC schedule. As far as being a full blown hypocrite, you are on here whining about ND games being scheduled years in advance, yet you are a little bitch about A&Ms SEC schedule that was also planned years in advance. Difference is any SEC team that gets through the SEC schedule played way way tougher than Notre Dame. And the entire NCAA is laughing at you little bitches pouting and refusing to play a bowl game.

You weren't measured by what your current schedule was rated years ago - you were measured by what they are today... and today?? They are cream puffs. Them's the breaks. Join a good conference and you can fix this, Dave

The problem with Notre Dame’s schedule has been apparent for a long time. Unless the ACC gets appreciably stronger, Notre Dame will be playing a weak schedule, particularly if you keep playing “traditional” opponents like Purdue and Navy.

A&M played a bunch of SEC teams that underperformed, but the talent on these teams dwarfs what ND saw week in and week out. When we were in the SWC, we got no credit for beating teams like Rice, TCU, Houston, and SMU. The only solution was to upgrade the level of competition, which we’ve done twice in the last 30 years.

Notre Dame’s schedule, on the other hand, has been on a glide path to cream puff status for quite a while, and it will only get worse when USC drops their series with you. Your only opponents with a pulse for games after September will be the occasional ACC team which happens to be having a decent year when they pop up on your schedule, unless you guys are dumb enough to piss of the ACC to the point they tell you to take a hike, or that conference blows up.

It's hit and miss just like every other program. USC, UCLA, Syracuse, Wisconsin, Purdue, Stanford, Houston, TCU, TT, etc all have/had their moments in time. It's all cyclical and nothing guarantees a winning team keeps winning or a losing team is always a loser.

1. A&M won 11 games compared to your team who only won 10.

2. I found no measure/ranking that shows Notre Dame had anywhere near a tougher strength of schedule compared to A&M. Meaning A&M won more games than you with a harder schedule.

You're literally making shite up. And just like this thread and OP, you don't comprehend basic understanding for why Notre Dame is rightfully left out of the CFP.

Why would they join a conference? That’s the quickest way to irrelevancy. Here is a list of teams in these conferences who are totally irrelevant and you think ND is dumb enough to join this list?

South Carolina
Texas AM
Texas
Auburn
Purdue
Northwestern
Illinois
Maryland
Mich St
Miami
VT
GT
MISS St
Ole Miss
Arkansas
Duke
UNC
NC State
Okie St
And more!

You guys keep saying they should join a conference but what have the teams above gotten by being in a conference? Decades of irrelevancy. ND isn’t that stupid.

We just need to send them to FCS until they want to get with the program.

IIRC, that Alabama series was originally scheduled for some time back in the teens and ND pushed it out until 2029. Gee, wonder why? FSU & Clemson games were part of the one-toe-in deal with the ACC, right?

If there's a tough team on ND's schedule, it's because they were either a cupcake when originally scheduled or ND had no choice as part of the deal with the ACC.

There are 12 spots instead of 4, you had 2 losses, you lost to your competition for the last spot, your team is a bunch of whiney bitches. Some one always gets left out.
