Why is stephen17 starting topics again? I thought it was decided that 12 year olds could not start topics anymore.
BTW, stephen is so much worse than Daniel. He is truly in a league of his own.

Just like Miles and O, you say? So when will you fire Kelly?

This may be true. I have about six Notre Dame friends though. They were all glad to see him go. Not because he couldn't coach. They just felt he was a complete arse.

I am getting a kick out of this. LSU fans constantly talking about ND fans being butthurt over Kelly, talking about ND fans crying and whining.
Reminds of another fanbase that begins with L and end with a U and a coach that left not mere months ago but NEARLY 20 YEARS ago and dying for him to lose every week, criticizing his every move, listening to his every word to find some morsel of him saying something about former school and constantly checking to see if he has retired.
There are more posts about their former coach and the team he now coaches than their own team. Don't bitch about Notre Dame. What sux is we have to share the same division and conferecnce with this whining group.

No, we're simply looking at Kelly's historical record.
Could he be better at LSU than he was a Notre Dame? Sure - Saban is clearly light years better at Alabama than he was at LSU, which in turn was light years better than he was at Michigan State.
The biggest difference, of course, is that the head coaches you had before came from programs not even in the same stratosphere as LSU
Saban - Michigan State (good, not great)
Miles - Oklahoma State (decent)
Orgeron - A terrible Ole Miss team and not even one full season at USC
Outside of USC, not one of those programs could compete nationally at LSU's level; however, the same could be said if they had left those programs for Notre Dame.
A lot of LSU fans are insistent that LSU is an upgrade over Notre Dame, using the success of past coaches as proof; however, Notre Dame has been more consistent lately than LSU, and is historically much more successful. Kelly will have to prove it was more than a lateral move to go from ND to LSU.

I'll take 'Who Cares' for $300 Alex.

I think ND will be just fine without him. not like he won anything of note while there.

Yeah he looked great in that bowl game last year. It was pretty embarrassing. He looked so uncomfortable.

Sounds like that makes him Kelly's equal at least.

You understand that Notre Dame fans called him "the shanty mick" and had been grumbling about wanting him fired since he killed that kid and then watched as his own team was killed in the 2012 BCSNCG? I don't feel like you understand that. They hated him.
Then they deserve Weis/Willingham part 2

You’re right. ND is a much better program historically in every measureable way

Why would they be butt hurt? Looks like they got an upgrade
Freeman is more likely to win a natty at ND than Kelly is at LSU

You forgot Saban. Some could not believe we were replacing Dinardo with a coach he beat in the Independence bowl.

ND fans are still celebrating the departure of the dancing Queen. Most had wanted him gone for years and y’all really helped them out. We met several ND fans in S Bend when we played there and met others again in Athens a few years later. All were saying what a dud he was and told us stories about deaths they felt he had responsibility in causing. They said ND wanted him gone. ASAP. One in S Bend asked us why didn’t Georgia put him on our team bus and take him back to Athens. We said “no thanks”
