Tech is a solid team. Don’t think they will run away with anything, but they’ll be a tough out for any team they play.

Georgia fans are saying they are elite, bc they would beat them, Bama, A&M, and Ole Miss. Which they probably could, so I don’t understand what they are arguing.

Tech is good, but their SOS sucks.
There is no way someone can come here and definitively say that Tech would beat every SEC team except Bama and Georgia.
They might be able to do that, but they haven't had to face anything like that list yet.

If you took away freshman from the 247 talent rankings, because freshmen often bloat the averages, Texas Tech would probably be top 10 in the rankings.

Their DL is undersized and would get shut down by bigger OL that have SEC Athletes. Their LBers are good but wonder if they look so good based upon opponents lack of athleticism? Can not get a read at how good their DBs are because they haven’t played a quality OL all year.

BYU is so inept. 
4 TOs in the 2nd half. QB just flat out dropped the ball while dropping back to pass. 11-1 in the Not So Big 12.

Tech has a good Big12 defense, that does not translate when playing fast SEC or B10 offenses. Those LBs are going to get exposed, much like TCU was a few years ago.

I never said that I'm saying they could certainly make a run. You got a few posters in here acting they'd get smoked by a number of SEC teams

This isn’t 2012 anymore folks, the SEC is sending a bunch of good not great teams to the playoffs and Tech could beat any of them.
I’d take Tech straight up no questions asked against Aggy and Ole Miss in the playoffs. OU, Bama and UGA would be tough but they could do it
