Saying Kirby is a better coach simply because of H2H is stupid.

Kirby has been proven to be a much better recruiter, which is something Mullen will need to improve on.

But Mullen took a historically terrible program at Mississippi State and made them relevant.

I wonder how Kirby would have faired starting his first head coaching gig at Mississippi State.

I think Florida wins straight up by at least 2 scores.

Mullen has been a head coach for 10 years and has none of the above.

Kirby would also have none of the above had he spent 9 of his 10 years at Mississippi State.

There’s no way to know this and you state it as a fact.

Because the east has been just as strong as the west the past decade....

I'm pulling for the Dawgs. Not because I want to play them in the SECCG, but because I truly dislike the Gators. Just don't like them.

It’s also fact that Mississippi State is historically one of the worst CFB programs.

Kirby walked into a much better situation BY FAR than Mullen did, and it’s not close.

Right, but you have no idea how Kirby would handle rebuilding a program. It’s also not like MSU had never won the West because they had—just not under Mullen.

But he’s at UF now, 11 years experience or whatever...surely he can match what Kirby did in year two (and it’s still possible) since he’s such a superior football mind.

I think Georgia runs the ball with just enough passing to keep them honest and plays good defense.

UGA- 27
UF- 24

Mullen has the same exact record at UF so far as Meyer did. Meyer walked into a much better situation as well.. Zook could damn sure recruit.

Pulling for the dawgs for two reasons:
1. I hate The Gators
2. If we win the West I would like the opportunity to beat UF, AU, Bama and UGa in one year.
In the end, it doesn’t really matter.
Lot of the season left.

Kirby has a much more talented roster in year 2 than Mullen has at Uf in year 2 (Miss State in year 2 under Mullen isn’t close to either )

If Mullen coached UGA in 2017, I believe he accomplishes just as much as Kirby did if not more.

This is just not true. You all have/had talent throughout the transition. There was a ton of talent drafted in 2017/18. Look at the draft picks and current contributors brought in by Maclwain.

The “woo is me Mullen had no talent Kirby had everything” narrative is garbage and a way for you all to rationalize. Kirby had exactly 1 player drafted his first year.
