According to y’all LSU hired attorneys and colluded with players to sue the SEC and the SEC has proof yet they are too scared to even go to court….
The SEC ultimately did not need to go to court. It got what it wanted. If LSU's case was so airtight, why didn't they insist on a court hearing rather than going ahead and knuckling under?

Go on record
FWIW we have a list of posters on this board that went on record.

The only thing less shocking will be when the SEC quietly drops the lawsuit against LSU altogether.

One wonders how the SEC's newfound zeal for rule enforcement will be applied going forward.
Not equally

If the SEC wants to be self-governing and autonomous in the coming age, it had to pass this test. And it did, at least at face value.
We heard in and in the last 24 hours about how the SEC didn’t care anymore it was about how they wanted the legal authority established in court.
Then they bailed.

that LSU could not justify continuing
You say that as if LSU actually did anything. LSU publicly stated, over 10 days ago, that they would comply with the SEC. The players were never rostered. The SEC still continued with this farce. If the SEC would have continued, LSU would not have been the loser. Removing LSU for no cause would habe not only destroyed the SEC, but most likely the programs of the schools that voted yes.
The game of chicken was played. The SEC backed down.
Spin it however you wish to help you sleep at night.

That’s what you dipshits of all teams LSU should have been focused on

That’s not a win for the SEC, they are about to be sued and they will lose, they are in contempt of court with their actions…they will have a huge monetary payout in a settlement, it will never make it to court…
I hope the settlement is made public

It didn’t pass any test. The court hearing didnt happen and apparently tomorrow’s vote wont happen.
The SEC bailed because they know they cant win by taking on a school who didn’t break any rules and who was willing to fight back.
If anything LSU eliminating Harris and Wright gave the SEC a chance to cave while saving face.

Yep. They should have taken it.

Good that LSU pussied out. It was the right move though.
Sigh.
Don't you get tired of regurgitating the hogwash that shows up on your social media feeds? Go back and read some posts - LSU/Kiffin never broke any rules, said they would abide by SEC rules, and then did that.
By that logic you pussied out when you got up and went to work this morning like you told your wife you would do instead of going daydrinking with your buds like you joked about the previous evening. Right?
LSU said what they would do, then they did that. Everything else that happened happened around them due to actions by other external parties.
So untwist your jorts, have a margarita and enjoy your day. Stop listening to BS.

I didn't see anything like this, but if it was, yeah, it was probably a bluff.
The SEC cares about its top down credibility right now, hence this entire saga. It absolutely did not want to test its 25% (my very rough merits estimate of the SEC argument) in Federal Court unless LSU was willing to go to war, which it obviously was not.

You're dumb as shite. It wasn't LSU's case to begin with. LSU would have gladly kept fighting Sankey's stupid little lawsuit, but he smartly pulled the plug on it.
