Good. Let’s get past this topic already. It would have been irresponsible to boot LSU.

Football season.

The SEC bailed because they know they cant win by taking on a school who didn’t break any rules and who was willing to fight back.

If anything LSU eliminating Harris and Wright gave the SEC a chance to cave while saving face.

This is a very romanticized view of your school President being forced to release a public letter pretty clearly ratifying SEC authority today.

And it's a view that won't be reflected in the national narrative about this conclusion.

Not really. The letter basically said that Sankey knew LSU was in compliance but tried to proceed with legal action anyway, so let’s both agree to drop or the SEC better be prepared to lose BIG.

I wouldn’t consider Rouse’s letter to have a conciliatory tone.

You read that letter and took away “I’m sorry sir” when it clearly says “yo dipshit what are you even trying to do here? Good luck with your kabuki case I guess.”

The email traffic between LSU's attorneys and the SEC this morning wordsmithing the language that LSU was required to use would be very entertaining to see.
