not advocating for Bama, but you’re making an apples to oranges comparison here. 4 teams in vs 12 changes the criteria dramatically.

Bama also has triple the amount of losses we had sooo

They’ll be punishing the team that got beaten by FState and OU and then got waxed in the SECCG. Win any 1 of those games and you’re in.

It’s not an automatic. Bama was given a privileged opportunity over Ole Miss and aTm. Bama wins and they are SECC and have a first round bye.

Y’all are going to bitch and complain away the last bastion of college football’s greatest conference out of ignorance. Everything you gumps are crying about being penalized from was right there for you to benefit from more than teams without one of the worst losses in CFB this season.

JFC listen to yourselves. Its pathetic

But, their performance needs to be considered when making the selection.

I agree with this; however, if winning a championship game can help you, shouldn't it also be able to hurt you if you lose?

The committee can talk about how objective they are, but the brands are the brands. Bama will get favoritism, even if ever so slight because of their history and their brand within college football. Fair or not, that's just the way it is.

It's so funny to me that this wasn't ever even a hint of consideration just 2 years ago, when UGA went from winning 30 games in a row and being wire to wire #1 that year but lost by 3 in the SECCG and was bounced in the palyoffs, but now that bama picked up a 3rd loss via arse beating we have to either change criteria or do away with the SECCG altogether to ensure they make it.

It'd be hilarious if it wasn't so blatant

Bama fans need to shut the mother fricking frick up. You're not a playoff team. Not even close. Deal with it and try again next year.

Who said anything about automatic. The gumps have been on a backwardation slide culminating in the first class arse whipping that happened yesterday.

So don't play a Conference Championship game...these games have become completely useless

This is absolutely wrong. I was there last night and assure you that it was as great as it always has been.

I think CFB without the fans opportunity to experience and celebrate their team winning the toughest conference in CFB on the field and indisputably, rather than by some dumb formula or committee.

Only one team from all conferences having the experience of celebrating success will kill off fan interest as a whole faster than the average tenure of a Florida HC

The Instagram instant gratification generation is going to ensure that no one ever is able to celebrate success along the way of an ultimate prize with odds of winning going the way of the Lottery.

When you play as badly as we did, you should not be allowed to talk about CFP. If we play Georgia 10 times, they win 12; we were pathetic and ill-prepared, as we are in all our losses

So punish the team that played in the championship while reward the team that sat at home? Seems like you folks were saying the opposite just last season

Winning or losing the Championship game of every conference has always made an impact on their final ranking. None of the teams who were tied for first in the SEC had any influence on what their opponents did other than the game they played against them. Alabama didn't go head-to-head against A&M or Ole Miss. I can definitely see them getting a higher seed than Alabama. Alabama should still make it but it's ridiculous for people to want a championship game to only help and not hurt a team's chances.

UVA killed ND’s chances. Bama is 100% in and they’ll be joined by Miami. ND is out.

I was unaware anyone was advocating Alabama in OVER Georgia.

Weird point to try and make.
